摘要： A radiant heater for cooking appliances with a glass ceramic plate has both bright light-radiating heating elements such as high temperature halogen lamps emitting substantial radiation in the visible range, and also darker glowing radiating elements operable at lower temperatures and radiating emitted light primarily in the infrared region. The bright visible light radiating element and the darker infrared glowing elements are connected in series with one another, whereby the series resistance of the dark or infrared radiator limits initial current loading, and after the radiant elements reach operating temperatures, the infrared element assumes a reduced portion of the total resistance. The visible light and glowing infrared series-connected elements can be interleaved or the visible element can define a boundary for a cooking element. The bright visible and darker glowing elements can be defined by a plurality of elements connectable in parallel and series combinations by a seven-mode switching control, and can be embodied in a variety of configurations in which the visible light and infrared glowing elements are operable or are selectably operable.

Support (4) engages below a cover (13) of the insulation of radiant heater (2) serving as a base plate and at least one spring (22) is arranged between a marginal strip (16) and the underengaging leg (19), so that a prestressed, closed assembly for fitting in a hob or the like is formed. Appropriately there are several closely juxtaposed, rectangular radiant heaters (4) with in each case separately switchable or regulatable heating circuits, so that at least approximately 85% of the total surface of the cooking field can be directly heated.

摘要： In an electric hotplate (1), the casing (15) of a thermal cutout (14) integrated with a projecting expansion rod temperature sensor (16) is open or unclosed on the top side, so that its reception depth for receiving the associated limiter switch is open upwards towards the underside of the hotplate body (2). On either side of the opening of casing (15) located in said top side (17), the casing is provided with spacers (18, 19) in one piece therewith and projecting upwards to different heights for engaging on the associated sloping surface (13) of the underside of hotplate body (2). Thus, in the case of simple manufacture, a good ventilation of casing (15) is obtained.

摘要： A mechanism for mounting a control device on an implement shield defining a shield plane, the control device having a body formed with slots, the mechanism comprising: the shield having a guide with guidance projections slidably interengageable with the slots on the body of the control device, the guidance projections and slots being connectable to one another by relative movement parallel to the shield plane; the shield having at least one positioning stop forming an abutment against the connecting movement; and, the shield having at least one stop spring for resiliently urging the body against the at least one positioning stop after the connecting movement, whereby the control device is securely positioned on the shield. When the control device is to be mounted in a cutout in the shield, the guidance projections, the at least one positioning stop and the at least one stop spring are shaped from material of the shield bounding the cutout. The guidance projections are preferably straps of L-shaped cross-section, projecting firstly from the shield towards the interior of the implement and then toward one another, engaging in the slots in the body of the control device. In an alternative embodiment, the mechanism may further comprise a sheet metal plate covering the front surface of the body, having bent edges for engaging in the slots in the body, having threaded or plug-receiving retainers and having a securing slot for the setting shaft of the control device.

The coils penetrate the wall or bottom areas of the slot or are otherwise secured by parts of the support by positive engagement. An apparatus for performing the method has a tool with ribs which deforms the support or heater coils for positive engagement.A radiant heater is obtained, whose support has partly overlapping deformations in the slot area of the heater coils.
