    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems, methods and devices for facilitating object-based cross-domain industrial automation control. An object library comprising a plurality of objects may be maintained. One or more of the objects may represent physical counterparts for use in an industrial automation process. Each object of the plurality of objects in the object library may have at least one property that an automated control device operation can be programmed to act on. Each object of the plurality of objects may also have at least one property that a human machine interface component can utilize in generating display elements corresponding to the objects for display on the human machine interface. When modifications to objects in the object library are received, those modifications may be automatically deployed and incorporated in controller logic and HMI graphics and control.

    Abstract: An illustrative method includes a batch analytic system receiving batch data of a batch generated in an industrial process, wherein the batch data includes K samples collected during the batch and each sample includes J values corresponding to J process variables of the industrial process, applying, for each process variable among the J process variables of the industrial process, a first function to K values of the process variable in the K samples of the batch to determine a first feature value of the process variable for the batch, aggregating first feature values corresponding to the J process variables that are determined for the batch using the first function to form a batch representation of the batch, and performing an operation using the batch representation of the batch.

    Abstract: A human-machine interface (HMI) development system supports a custom textual domain-specific language (DSL) for describing and developing HMI applications. The custom DSL comprises user domain elements corresponding to elements used within the context of a graphical HMI editor, and can be used to describe all aspects of an HMI application in terms of these user domains. Since the DSL is a textual syntax, this approach also allows HMI applications to be developed using any text editor. The DSL can be used to define, using text-based programming, such HMI properties as the graphical elements to be included in the HMI application, element layouts in reference to other graphical elements, element behaviors and actions, commands and custom executable code for specific interactions of the graphics.
