Abstract:
An exemplary umbrella includes a handle to receive a motor, a fan, and a battery. The motor drives the fan to rotate when powered by the battery. The umbrella further includes a hollow support bar coupled to a top of the handle, and the support bar defines a number of receiving holes. A switch can be received in the support bar to actuate the motor when pressed. Each of a number of hollow umbrella ribs includes one end inserted into a corresponding receiving hole. Each umbrella rib can communicate with the support bar, and defines a number of through holes. A canopy is coupled to lower portions of the support ribs. When the fan rotates as driven by the motor, air from the support bar flows to the support ribs, and to the canopy via the through holes.
Abstract:
A portable cooler is provided with a sidewall having a channel to facilitate mounting about a vertical pole and thereby weighting a portable canopy structure supported on the pole.
Abstract:
A safety sign system comprises one or more traffic or informational signs, an expandable pole, a detachable umbrella canopy assembly, and a safety finial assembly. The signs are removably attached to a sleeve that surrounds a portion of a pole and rests upon a sign support. The sleeve with the signs attached swivels about the pole. The umbrella canopy assembly is attached to an upper end of the pole and may include additional features including reflective tape, vents, drop-down flaps, reflective coating, and lights. The safety finial assembly is removably attached to the top of the umbrella canopy assembly and may include flag supports, removable flags, and a safety light assembly. The safety sign system optionally further comprises a collapsible seat, a beverage holder, a satellite tracking device, a communication device, a base, and a control panel for operating the safety light and other features.
Abstract:
A sun shade designed for portability and selective angular orientation in a body of water. The device comprises an umbrella portion, together with at least two distally joined buoyant members to keep the umbrella from sinking. The umbrella portion's cover comprises generally opaque material to keep the sun's rays from penetrating. The user orients the expanded umbrella towards the sun and allows the umbrella to float on the buoyant members while the user is below the umbrella. The shape and selective angular orientation of the sun shade enable the user to block rays of the sun from 0° to 90° relative to the surface of the water.
Abstract:
An intelligence outdoor shading arrangement includes an outdoor shading system, an environmental sensor device and a functional controller. The outdoor shading system includes at least an outdoor shading device including a supporting frame, a power source, an awning frame suspendedly and movably supported by the supporting frame, and a shelter mounted to the awning frame to define a shading area under the shelter. The environmental sensor device is electrically linked to the power source and is installed to the outdoor shading system for detecting an environmental change of the shading system in responsive to the shading area thereof. The functional controller is electrically linked to the environmental sensor device and is operatively controlled the awning frame of the outdoor shading system, wherein when the functional controller receives a command signal from the environmental sensor device, the awning frame is automatically adjusted to regulate the shading area thereof in responsive to the environmental change of the outdoor shading system.
Abstract:
A thin plastic, fold-up umbrella with thin structural supports which fits within a writing implement case, a personal care product case or case for other products normally carried by a user. The case becomes the handle for the umbrella stored in the case with the personal use product to insure that the umbrella will always be carried by the person.
Abstract:
A sun-tracing sunshade apparatus includes a support, a first top shade member rotatably mounted on the support, a lateral shade member pivotally coupled to the first top shade member, a drive unit installed in the support and adapted for rotating the first top shade member relative to the support, a sun tracker electrically coupled with the drive unit and adapted for sensing the direction of the sun and providing a corresponding signal to the drive unit, and a push member mounted on the support and movable to touch the lateral shade member and to further bias the lateral shade member relative to the first top shade member. Thus, the first top shade member can be turned subject to the direction of sunlight to move the lateral shade member to the optimal shading position, providing excellent sun-shading effect. Further, when the lateral shade member is moved to the front side of the user, it can be lifted by the push member, avoiding hindering the user's sight.
Abstract:
A stroller umbrella system comprising a removably-attachable user-adjustable umbrella serving to function as a water-resistant canopy to protect at least one occupant (and or user-pusher); at least one hinged adjustable clamp comprising a ball and socket assembly, and a push button release mechanism located on a tube which permits the user to open and close the water-resistant canopy on demand. The ball and socket assembly enables the occupant to adjust at least one orientation of the water-resistant canopy thereby blocking weather from the occupant from virtually any direction. The adjustable clamp is located on the stroller for removably coupling the removably-attachable user-adjustable umbrella to the stroller.
Abstract:
An intelligent outdoor sun shading device includes a shading system, an environmental sensor device and a functional controller. The shading system includes a supporting frame, a power source supported at the supporting frame, an awning frame suspendedly and movably supported by the supporting frame, and a sun shelter mounted to the awning frame to define a shading area under the sun shelter. The environmental sensor device is electrically linked to the power source and is installed to the shading system for detecting an environmental change of the shading system in responsive to the shading area thereof. The functional controller is electrically linked to the environmental sensor device and is operatively controlled the awning frame of the shading system, wherein when the functional controller receives a command signal from the environmental sensor device, the awning frame is automatically adjusted to regulate the shading area thereof in responsive to the environmental change of the shading system.
Abstract:
A collapsible umbrella has an open position and a collapsed position. In a collapsed position, the umbrella of the present invention can be used as a towel, to clean, wipe, and or dry objects, hands, faces, and the like. In an open position, the umbrella function is enabled, so as to protect a person or objects from rain and/or sun. In one embodiment, the canopy of the umbrella is constructed from material having two surfaces performing different functions. In one embodiment, the umbrella of the present invention contains a mechanism adapted to collapse the umbrella in a manner that turns the canopy inside out when in the collapsed position, so as to hide the water-resistant surface of the canopy and expose the absorbent surface. The absorbent surface then becomes naturally accessible for use when the umbrella is in the collapsed position.
