Abstract:
A bandsaw assembly for cutting large diameter workpieces such as turbine rotors, heat exchangers or shafts at a plant or factory and a method of using the same is disclosed. The assembly includes a frame; ground-engaging wheels or a track provided on the frame; a plurality of spaced apart towers extending vertically upwardly from the frame; a rotatable drive wheel mounted on each tower, said drive wheel being horizontally oriented and presenting a vertically oriented circumferential surface; a motor operatively engaged with one or more of the drive wheels; and a bandsaw blade passing around the wheels and being in contact with the circumferential surfaces thereof; said blade being selectively driven by the drive wheels. The towers are variable in length to raise or lower the blade. The assembly is reduced in width for transportation or storage and increased in width for operation.
Abstract:
A band saw machine includes a working bench, a driving wheel mounted to the working bench, a driven wheel mounted to the working bench, and a band saw running on the driving and driven wheels. A storage member and a hydraulic cylinder connected with the storage member are mounted to the working bench. The hydraulic cylinder includes a piston rod for pushing against the driven wheel to make the driven wheel tighten the band saw while moving relative to the driving wheel. A force sensor is mounted between the piston rod and the driven wheel for sensing the tension of the band saw and emitting a sensing signal to a control system. In this way, the control system can receive the sensing signal and controllably making the storage member supply oil to the cylinder body according to the sensing signal to force the piston rod to elongate.
Abstract:
Arrangement in order to tension a counter element (1), such as a blade of a sawing device, such as a blade (15) of a band sawing machine in combination with a roll or a slide block to a chosen sawing line with the help of the mentioned counter element and in order to direct the counter element to make it stay at the mentioned line. The arrangement comprises a magnetic device (14) in order to improve the functioning belonging to the counter element (1) and in order to improve the sawing result with the help of which magnetic force created by the magnetic device the blade (15) is being controlled with a force which has the same direction which force pushes the blade (15) against the counter element (1).
Abstract:
A pallet dismantler includes a frame, a first drive roller rotatably coupled to the frame, and an arm pivotably coupled to the frame. A sleeve member is rigidly coupled to the arm. An axle extends from the sleeve. A second drive roller is rotatably coupled to the axle. An adjustable ratchet member extends between the arm and the frame. The adjustable ratchet member is operable to adjust the position of the second driver roller relative to the first drive roller. A blade member is trained on the first and second drive rollers.
Abstract:
A band-sawing machine comprises a machine base having a transverse through-hole and a plurality of support rod holes; a tension adjustment means including a fastening rod, first and second blocks, two support rods, and an adjusting seat, with the first and second blocks and adjusting seat are slidable along the support rods; a blade mounting pulley coupled to the adjusting seat pivotally; a band sawing blade provides on the blade mounting pulley; and a rapid handling means including a handle and a cam shaft; wherein the handle is inserted through the transverse through-hole and coupled to the cam shaft which is adapted for selectively pushing the first block to move upward to drive the blade mounting pulley to move therewith and change the band sawing blade.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a blade tension gauge for a band saw which provides a constant reading of the magnitude of the forces that act to put tension on the blade. The band saw includes a moveable wheel, a blade, and a frame, where movement of the moveable wheel in relation to the frame tensions the blade. The blade tension gauge includes a wheel positioning assembly rigidly connected to the moveable wheel and connected to the frame to be moveable relative to the frame. A load element is positioned to receive a load existing between the wheel positioning assembly and the frame. A sensor is configured to measure the load. A display is configured to display the tension value. Also disclosed is a method for outputting the tension of the blade of a band saw.
Abstract:
A quick-pin blade tensioning device for a band saw comprises a sliding tension bracket coupled with an upper arm of the band saw. The sliding tension bracket engages an upper band wheel which has a band saw blade coupled to it. A lifting shoe, slidably disposed within the upper arm, imparts movement to the sliding tension bracket. A pin moves the lifting shoe through rotational movement of the pin imparted by a coupling with a tension crank. The tension crank, disposed within the upper arm, has rotational movement imparted to it through a coupling with a tension handle enabled with multiple positions.
Abstract:
A power saw suitable for one-handed operation having a three-dimensional shaped body with a hand grip and a base defining multi-sided exterior configuration. An electric motor is supported upon a mounting plate and installed within the housing. A gear drive system extends from an exposed face of the mounting plate and a power supply communicates to the motor and operatively drives the gear system. A continuous cutting band is supported upon outermost projecting gear members associated with the gear drive system, such that the band projects from a plurality of arcuately configured exterior surfaces associated with the body. A cutting zone is established at each projecting location of the band to perform a ripping operation on a workpiece positioned within a selected cutting zone.

Abstract:
A vertical band saw machine includes a base, an upright post extending from the base, amounting frame slidably retained relative to the upright post, upper and lower blade mounting pulleys and a tension-equalizing guider pulley rotatably mounted on the mounting frame, the base and the upright post, respectively, an endless band saw blade trained on the pulleys to define upper and lower inclined side paths, and a tension adjusting member disposed to displace the mounting frame between a loosened position to facilitate replacement of the blade, and a tensed position. The guider pulley is brought into synchronized movement with the mounting frame such that the ratio of lengths between the upper and lower inclined side paths is kept unchanged.
