摘要： A manually-operable six-way seat adjustment mechanism having a pair of laterally spaced tracks which are fixed securely to the vehicle's floor pan. A pair of carriages are slidably coupled to the tracks and are operable for synchronous longitudinal movement thereon. A seat assembly is fixedly secured to seat frame members supported from the elongated carriages for longitudinal movement therewith. A horizontal adjustment mechanism is operatively interconnected between each of the tracks and carriages to enable a seat occupant to selectively adjust the longitudinal position of the assembly. The manually-operable six-way seat adjustment mechanism also includes a front vertical adjustment mechanism and a rear vertical adjustment mechanism which are each operably interconnected between the laterally spaced seat frame members and the carriages to enable selective and independent vertical adjustment of their respective front and rear portions of the seat assembly. Finally, a travelling seat belt buckle anchorage arrangement is provided in association with at least one set of the slidably interconnected tracks and carriages for enabling selective longitudinal movement of a seat belt buckle anchor point with the seat assembly along the tracks while inhibiting vertical and horizontal separation therebetween.

摘要： A vehicle seat adjusting apparatus for adjusting the angle of inclination of a seat and thereby adjusting passenger height and available leg room by rotating the seat about a single, centrally located, transverse or lateral axis. A latch mechanism normally holds the seat relative to the seat track rails. Release of the latch mechanism is effected through a manual lever at the outside of one seat rail. The lever draws a release assembly laterally of the seat to slide a release arm longitudinally of the seat. The seat may then be notched to a desired position with the aid of a bias spring assisting the seat movement. Release of the lever allows the latch mechanism bias to restore the latch action in the desired position. By using a central pivot, you adjust the attitude of the seat and, by virture of the motion pattern, the rear of the seat moves up or down thus raising or lowering the occupants eye level in the vehicle. By tilting the seat backward, a tall person can get comfortable and increase his or her leg and head room. By tilting the seat forward, a short person can be comfortable, be closer to the foot pedals, and raise their eye level for better vision.

Thus, the operability of the thread mechanism for steplessly adjusting the height of the rear art of the seat cushion can be remarkably improved.

摘要： A vertical seat adjuster for vehicle seats includes a seat support bracket. The rear portion of the bracket is supported on the vehicle by a lever which is rotatable through a screwjack mechanism to raise and lower the rear portion of the bracket. The front portion of the bracket is likewise supported on the vehicle by a rotatable lever. The front portion of the bracket mounts a pair of lock plates which are movable between engaged and released positions with respect to a detent mounted to the vehicle in order to lock the front portion of the bracket against movement. Each lock plate includes a series of alternating notches and abutments, with the notches and abutments of the locking plates being offset with respect to the other whereby the notch of one lock plate engages the detent to lock the bracket against movement while the abutment of the other engages the detent to maintain the other lock plate in released position. The alternating notches and abutment permits an increased number of adjusted positions of the bracket relative to the vehicle.

The seat has two pairs of extension links, and a seat-base frame, as well as toggle-lever links, and transversely-extending connecting rods. The seat-cushion frame is connected via the two pairs of extension links with the seat-base frame. The extension links are supported via the toggle lever links on the seat-base frame and are connected in pairs with each other by the transverselyextending connecting rods. Spring means urge the connecting rods into a raised position of the seat-cushion frame and are displaceably guided in slots in the seat-base frame. A releaseable tooth-engagement lock, including teeth, are disposed within the region of the slots between each of the connecting rods and the seat-base frame such that the teeth are directed parallel to the plane of the slot.
