摘要： An article dispenser of the type having a sphere enclosed vessel, the sphere having at least one cavity for transferring an article, such as a pill, from inside the vessel to outside the vessel, employs a novel improvement in the manner of suspending the sphere on the vessel. Specifically, a cradle bridging the opening of the vessel provides a track of arcuate shape and the sphere has an annular groove of appropriate depth to form a central shaft for rotatably engaging the track. The sphere is readily removable for refilling the vessel and for assembly. A plurality of diagonally oriented guards assure free rotation of the sphere with articles being transferred in the cavity.

摘要： A dispenser for shaped solids, in particular for tablets and pills of very small format, is described. In a cylindrical housing, a dosing device is inserted between a stock container and a collecting chamber, part of the dosing device being rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the housing. The dosing device consists of three parts, i.e. (a) a cylindrical ring part from whose inner wall a lug projects radially, (b) a dosing wheel which can be inserted into the ring part and rotated about the longitudinal axis of the housing, and (c) a base part which can be inserted into the dosing wheel. The dosing wheel has a perforated plate with dosing orifices arranged in the peripheral region. A rim projects at right angles from the peripheral edge of the perforated plate, locking notches assigned to the dosing orifices being provided on the inner wall of the rim. The base part is inserted into the rim of the dosing wheel and is provided with an ejection hole for the tablet or pill to be dispensed.

摘要： A tablet or capsule dispenser includes a neck member (12) for forming an entrance through which tablets or capsules to be dispensed must pass to get to laterally-positioned delivery compartments (28) downstream thereof. A baffle member (14) is affixed to the neck member for defining baffle openings (42) which are aligned with each of the delivery compartments (28). A one-way rotary carousel member (16), positioned between the stationary baffle member (14) and the delivery compartments (28), has a rotating opening (50) therein which, when aligned with the delivery compartments allows tablets or capsules therein to be dispensed. The rotating opening includes a radial wall (54) at a trailing edge of the rotating opening for contacting a tablet or capsule located in a delivery compartment to thereby prevent further rotation of the carousel member unless the tablet or capsule in the compartment is dispensed and an internal wall (52) at an internal edge of the rotating opening to isolate tablets and capsules at the delivery compartment from tablets and capsules passing through the delivery opening. The carousel member is rotated relative to the container and its neck portion by means of a transparent cap apparatus (18) which has male threads (74) for engaging female threads (76) on the carousel member (16) and which has floating safety female threads (66) for engaging male threads (32) on the outer surface of the container neck member.

摘要： There is disclosed a pill dispensing cap assembly device adapted for mounting on the neck of a pill container. The cap assembly device is designed to provide for the effective and efficient dispensing of pills which are randomly stored in a container, upon rotation of one element of the cap assembly, through a rather limited arc. The cap assembly includes a cap member secured to the neck of the container and having a discharge passage in communication with the interior of the container; fixed with respect to the cap member is a cover element having one or more dispensing openings therein, which are offset relative to the cap member discharge opening. Mounted between the cap member and the cover element is a rotor member adapted for rotation relative to the cap member and cover element and having a pill receiving aperture therein. As such, when the pill receiving aperture of said rotor is aligned with the discharge opening of the cap member the bottom of said aperture will be closed by surface of said cover element. As such, a pill can be picked up by the rotor member and transferred to a point wherein it is in alignment with a dispensing opening formed in the cover member whereupon said pill can drop from the cap assembly. The surfaces of the rotor member adjacent the rotor aperture or apertures are sloped in such a manner that these surfaces will serve to cam any excess pills back into the discharge opening, upon movement of the rotor element during the dispensing operation.

摘要： A dispenser for tablets comprises a container which has a bottom with an eccentrically located opening, a tongue disposed at a distance above said opening and a rotor element which is rotatably mounted intermediate said bottom and said tongue. The rotor has recesses each of which successively coming into register with the bottom opening when said rotor is rotated. The rotor further has a central hole serving as a journal for a relatively long shaft which in its lower part merges into a bowl member and in its upper part has coupling members which when the shaft is in its lowermost position may cooperate with corresponding coupling members of the rotor such that said rotor will follow a rotational movement of the bowl. In this position the bowl is situated at a distance below the bottom of the container. When the shaft is in its uppermost position the bowl sealingly contacts the bottom of the container or parts connected thereto.

摘要： A pill dispensing device for dispensing pills one at a time, including a rotatable plate having a pair of orifices therein positioned adjacent the bottom portion of the pill dispenser, the plate being rotatable through 180* of arc in either direction; in one extreme, the plate accepts a pill from a container when one of the holes in the plate registers with a hole in the bottom of the container, and in the other extreme, the pill is ejected through an orifice in the bottom of the pill dispenser. Thus a reciprocating motion of a lever connected to the plate through an arc of 180* accepts a pill in one of a pair of orifices while simultaneously ejecting a pill through the other orifice.
