    摘要： A paperboard carrier device for holding a plurality of article containers, each article container having an annular rim formed along an upper peripheral edge extending perpendicularly with respect to an article container sidewall, is disclosed. The carrier device includes a top panel (11) having a plurality of spaced article engaging apertures (12) defined therein and extending therethrough. Each aperture is dimensioned to be less than the rim diameter of the article containers, and has a continuous marginal portion (31) sized and shaped to elastically deform as it is passed over the annular rim of one of the article containers and is received on the sidewall of the article container and engaged in a snap fit beneath the annular rim thereof. A pair of spaced and opposed web panels (41, 42) are hingedly connected to a pair of spaced side edges at the top panel along a first pair of hinge lines (43, 44), and are constructed and arranged to be folded upwardly along each of the hinge lines toward the upper peripheral edges of the article containers. A main overpanel (45) is hingedly connected to one of the web panels along one of a second pair of spaced and opposed hinge lines (46, 48), and is constructed and arranged to be folded along one of the second hinge lines over onto and across the annular rims of the article containers. A secondary overpanel (47) is hingedly connected to the other one of the second hinge lines, and is constructed and arranged to be folded along the hinge line into engagement with at least a portion of the main overpanel and to be fastened thereto so that the carrier device encloses the tops of the article containers (35).

    摘要： A clip-type carrier (10) has a top wall which includes an inner (20) and an outer (40) panel that overlap at respective lap portions (22, 42). The inner panel (20) has an inner article-receiving aperture (24) for each flanged article (1) to be received. The inner article-receiving aperture (24) has radial cuts (26) that form gripping tabs (28) whose unattached inner edges define an inner aperture circumference and associated inner aperture diameter (D.sub.11). Each gripping tab (28) terminates at the inner panel to form a second circumference (C.sub.12) and associated second diameter (D.sub.12). The second circumference (C.sub.12) and diameter (D.sub.12) are greater than the inner circumference and diameter (D.sub.11). The lap portion (42) of the outer panel (40) has an outer article-receiving aperture (44) corresponding to and in concentric alignment with each inner article-receiving aperture (24). The outer article-receiving aperture (44) has a circumference and associated diameter (D.sub.0) that are greater than those of the inner aperture and less than the respective second circumference (C.sub.12) and diameter (D.sub.12). The carrier (10) may have securement such as adhesive (34), punch-type locks (36, 38) or locking tabs (49) in the outer panel (40) for securing the inner (22) and outer (42) lap portions to one another.

    摘要： A paperboard carrier for containers arranged in the carrier in side-by-side positions with the carrier formed with apertures to receive the filling ends of the containers in which the apertures are delineated by embossed ring formations, each one surrounding a group of tabs radiating inwardly from the ring formation to terminal ends which are shortened to leave an open space. One of the group of tabs in each aperture is formed with an enlarged inner end to substantially fill the space left by the terminal ends of the other tabs. The group of tabs in each of the embossed ring formations close the aperture but are responsive to the insertion of a container filler end to hinge outwardly on the embossed ring formation into a conic shape to engage the container filling end, with the special feature of the one tab hinging outwardly to position its enlarged inner end alongside the container for easy grasping to tear that one tab out of the paperboard for effectively releasing the container.
