    摘要： A bundle of containers like bottles or cans comprises a structure (2) for holding containers (3), having a base wall (4) intended to support the containers (3) and lateral walls (5) extending from the base wall (4), which define a compartment (6) intended for the support of the containers (3). The compartment (6) is impermeable for receiving a predefined amount of ice intended for cooling the containers. The bundle (1) also comprises a wrapping (7) made of thermoretractable plastic material which wraps the structure (2) for holding containers (3) and the containers (3) arranged therein. The wrapping (7) has at least one access opening (8) for the introduction of the ice into the housing compartment (6) of the structure (2) for holding containers (3). An optional spacer between containers provides gaps for receiving the coolant.

    摘要： A package for a wide line, film ribbon which utilizes a pair of spaced-apart end pieces which engages a pair of spaced-apart end pieces engaging the end edges of the ribbon roll stored within the roll in multiple turns. A sheet of corrugated material is formed into a roll and inserted into the core opening of the film ribbon roll to stabilize the roll, and another sheet of corrugated material is wound about the outer surface of the roll to protect the surface and the roll itself from damage. A shrinkable overwrap encompasses the end pieces, the corrugated material, and the ribbon roll underneath to provide additional protection and maintain the components of the package and the film ribbon roll in a predetermined fixed relationship.

The handgrips (26) of the end walls (22) of the lower tray (12) are aligned with the handgrips (126) of the end walls (122) of the upper tray (14) when it is stacked on the lower tray (12). The openings (38) in the ends of a shrunk film wrapper (36) are at least partially coincident with the upper peripheries of the handgrips (26, 126) for providing extra strength. Side walls (18, 118) are integrally connected to the base panels (16, 116) about fold lines (20, 120) and are secured to the end walls (22, 122) by tabs (28, 34, 128, 134). The trays (12, 14) are formed of paperboard and/or corrugated from one or more blanks. In preferred forms of the present invention, the upper edges (27, 127) of the end walls (22, 122) of the lower and upper trays (12, 14) are integrally connected about fold lines, with the end walls (22) of the lower tray (12) including tear strips (40) allowing the lower and upper trays (12, 14) to be separated for distribution.

A plurality of upwardly extending, partitions divides the tray into a corresponding plurality of container receiving pockets. Each of the pockets is defined by a portion of the bottom wall and by four peripheral sides which includes at least one of the partitions and at least two of the side walls. Each pocket has at least one raised pillow extending upwardly from the bottom wall to support the lid of an inverted container located in the pocket with the pillow spaced inwardly of the peripheral sides to create a continuous peripheral groove between the pillow and the peripheral sides so that the edge of the outer surface of the lid may be located in the peripheral groove.

    摘要： A food product package is disclosed for packing a plurality of fragile shells or bowls composed of a consumable and digestible material consisting of a circular base joining in a continuous circular sidewall having a plurality of evenly spaced semicircular convolutions wherein each convolution is of the same diameter to provide combined or over-all strength. The shell or bowl composition presents a textured exterior surface visually indicative of an edible product. The textured surface is characterized as being granular having a wall thickness and cross-section which is brittle and capable of being broken apart for ready consumption. The plurality of shells or bowls are nested together in a stack confined between opposing inner surfaces of a U-shaped, load carrying protective form captured in a unitary package by a wrap of plastic film. The protective form includes elongated sidewalls projecting from opposite ends of a base on which the stack rests. The sidewalls are of greater length than the height of the stack so that terminating end portions extend beyond the stack height in position to receive and absorb impact loads and shocks to the exclusion of the stack.
