Abstract:
Cargo assemblages including a pallet, a load of packages arranged in one or more layers, and a support layer, in which the support layer is sized and positioned within the cargo assemblage to support and/or stabilize the cargo, thereby providing improved pallet efficiency, improved shipping efficiency, and/or improved stability.
Abstract:
Attachment apparatuses are attached to a pallet to allow rope or string, such as that made from stretch film, to securely attach a load or object to the pallet for shipping. The apparatuses can be clip or nail based to secure to the pallet or wedge based to wedge into the middle of the pallet. These devices orient an engagement surface designed to engage the rope or string.
Abstract:
A stretch film dispensing apparatus gathers the stretch film into a string or rope for use in securing an object to a pallet for shipping. The stretch film can be converted into a string or rope by passing it through one or more of a hook, funnel, apparatus, set of gears, or the like to effect stretching and/or twisting of the film into a string or rope.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A package unit includes: a thin packaged product in which a thin display device is packed; an individual packaging pallet formed in a substantially rectangular shape corresponding to a shape of the packaged product loaded, the individual packaging pallet including fork insertion openings in a side surface in a long side direction thereof; and a loading pallet formed in a substantially rectangular shape corresponding to a shape of a plurality of package bodies including the packaged product and the individual packaging pallet, the package bodies loaded side by side, the loading pallet including fork insertion openings in both of a side surface in a long side direction thereof and a side surface in a short side direction thereof.
Abstract:
Unit load for transporting absorbent hygienic articles such as sanitary pads. The unit load includes a pallet, a bottom tray with one or more side flaps folded upwardly, a plurality of secondary packages loaded on the pallet and forming a stack, a top cap on top of the stack with one or more side flaps folded downwardly, and a plurality of corner posts each placed against a different vertical corner of the stack of secondary packages. A secondary package for transporting feminine hygiene articles, in particular sanitary pads, made of a flexible material is provided.
Abstract:
A method of forming a load for transportation comprising the steps of: i) placing a base member on a flat surface, wherein the base member is wider than the intended width of the load; ii) forming a base layer of the load on the base member such that a side flap of the base member extends beyond each side of the base layer, wherein the base layer defines at least two channels for receiving forks of a forklift truck or other lifting device; iii) building a partial load, less than the intended maximum height, on top of the base layer iv) folding the side flaps of the base member around the partial load; v) building the remainder of the load on top of the folded base member; and vi) securing the completed load for transportation.
Abstract:
A multi-pack arrangement for cans includes upper and lower cans in axial alignment and a wrapper such as shrink wrap film covering the cans. A tear strip is provided to facilitate removal of the wrapper from the cans. A token such as a chip, coin, a piece of paper or a piece of plastic is positioned within the arrangement between the upper and lower cans. The presence of a token is only revealed after the wrapper has been removed and the cans separated from each other. Other embodiments include promotional information printed on a tear strip in a multi-container arrangement, and promotional information on the interior surface of a wrapper joining two containers together.
Abstract:
A reusable packaging system is disclosed in which a series of thermoformed trays are used to mount six spider type office chair bases. Three bases are mounted in an inverted position on the tray and three bases are mounted upright. A stack of load trays may be constructed with the bottom-most tray fastened to a standard pallet. The stack is plastic wrapped and shipped. After unloading, empty trays may be stacked in a nested arrangement and returned for reuse making for a simple, reliable and inexpensive system.
Abstract:
A method of shipping a plurality of preformed flower pot covers is provided. Each preformed flower pot cover includes a sheet of material formed into a shape sized to receive a flower pot. The preformed flower pot cover has a base with a closed lower end and an open upper end with an object opening extending therethrough for receiving the flower pot. The method includes providing a portable platform having a plurality of stacking shells disposed therefrom. Each stacking shell is configured to be received in the object opening of one of the preformed flower pot covers. A stack of preformed flower pot covers is formed on each of the stacking shells such that the preformed flower pot covers of the stack are nested within one another and supported on the stacking shell and secured to the portable platform. The platform with the preformed flower pot covers is then transported to a predetermined destination.
