Abstract:
The present invention is directed to polyisocyanate mixtures which are liquid at room temperature and which(a) contain from 10 to 42% by weight of aromatically-bound isocyanate groups, which may be partly in the form of carbamic acid chloride;(b) contain from 0.5 to 5% by weight of sulphur in the form of sulphonic acid groups which may be at least partly neutralized or esterified;(c) contain from 0.5 to 5% by weight of phosphorus in the form of phosphonic acid alkyl ester groups or phosphonic acid aralkyl ester groups and(d) have a viscosity of from 10 to 50,000 cP at 25.degree. C.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cyclic phosphorus compounds and processes for the preparation thereof. The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of certain derivatives of cyclic hydrogenphosphonates which are diisocyanate derivatives formed as adducts or as polymers. The cyclic phosphorus compounds are useful as flame retardants with organic polymers, such as polyurethanes, polyesters, and polyamides.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to cyclic phosphorus compounds and processes for the preparation thereof. The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of certain derivatives of cyclic hydrogenphosphonates. Azomethine, sulfonyl isocyanate, isocyanate, and isothiocyanate derivatives are a part of the present invention. The cyclic phosphorus compounds are useful as flame retardants with organic polymers, such as polyurethanes, polyesters, and polyamides.
Abstract:
This invention relates to novel carbonyl phosphonates, their agricultural compositions, and to the method of utilizing such compounds for retarding the growth of plants, especially woody plants.
Abstract:
This disclosure teaches a method for employing novel carbamoylphosphonates such as ammonium ethyl carbamoylphosphonate, ammonium isopropyl carbamoylphosphonate and ammonium allyl carbamoylphosphonate to regulate the growth rate of plants.
Abstract:
SUBSTITUTED BENZOYLPHOSPHONATES FORM A CLASS OF COMPOUNDS WHICH EXHIBIT HERBICIDAL ACTIVITY, AND, OF WHICH, CERTAIN SUBSTITUTED BENZOYLPHOSPHONATES ARE NOVEL COMPOUNDS. IN HERBICIDE TESTS, THE COMPOUNDS OF THIS INVENTION ARE HIGHLY EFFECTIVE AGAINST UNDESIRABLE GRASSES, SUCH AS CRABGRASS, YELLOW FOXTAIL GRASS, JOHNSON GRASS AND BARNYARD GRASS; AND AGAINST UNDESIRABLE BROADLEAF HERBS, SUCH AS PIGWEED. IN LOW USE CONCENTRATIONS, THE COMPOUNDS OF THE PRESENT INVENTION RETAIN THEIR HIGH EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST INDESIRABLE GRASSES AND BROADLEAF HERBS WHILE SHOWING SELECTIVITY IN FAVOR OF IMPORTANT CROP SPECIES, SUCH AS COTTON AND CORN.
Abstract:
The sugar content of sugar-containing crops such as sugar cane, can be increased by applying to the crops an effective amount of carbamoylphosphonate such as ammonium ethyl carbamoylphosphonate from two to eight weeks prior to normally scheduled harvest.
