    摘要： An automatically focusing optical system for copiers, duplicators and other reproduction equipment having a variable magnification capability. The auto-focusing mechanism comprises a camming means for moving a mirror or other component of the optical system to maintain focus throughout the magnification range of the system. The camming means is additionally designed to be adjustable in such a way that it can accommodate imaging lens systems which differ in focal length within the normal manufacturing tolerance band, and thus replace the family of cams utilized in the prior art to accommodate lenses of different focal length.

    摘要： In a copying machine of the type comprising an original supporting member, and a variable magnifying power type optical system including a projection lens for projecting the light image of an original and a reflective mirror, and means for moving the projection lens and the reflective mirror in a direction parallel with the original supporting member, there are provided means for feeding a photosensitive paper into the projection field of the optical system, and a photosensitive paper positioning member interlocked with the optical system for arresting the photosensitive paper at a predetermined exposure position in the projection field in accordance with a given magnifying power. Where the copying machine is to be operated as an electrophotographic type, the machine is further provided with means for depositing an electrostatic charge on the surface of an insulating paper thus sensitizing the same, and black frame eliminating means including means for exposing to light the portions of the sensitized paper on the edge portions thereof for discharging the electrostatic charge thus retaining the electrostatic charge only in a predetermined area of the sensitized paper upon which the light image is to be projected by the optical system.

    摘要： In a zoom mechanism for a reproducing apparatus wherein an original surface and an image formation surface are fixed and zooming is effected by moving a lens system between those surfaces and in which during movement two lenses within the lens system are moved axially relative to each other by a cam follower means riding on a cam surface, the cam surface is formed by surface portions on two cam plates which have a common pivot point at their adjacent ends so that by adjusting the orientation of each plate with respect to the other about the pivot point, the spacing between the two lenses may be appropriately varied through the action of the cam follower means during movement of the lens system to correct for focus shifting.
