摘要: A turf treatment trailer attachable to a ride-on lawnmower. The turf treatment trailer comprises a drawbar which is detachably attachable to the ride-on lawnmower, a frame connected to the drawbar, a first ground-bearing trailer wheel rotatably mounted on the frame, a second ground-bearing trailer wheel rotatably mounted on the frame and at least one turf treatment unit detachably attached to the frame. The turf treatment unit is positioned on the frame to trail the first ground-bearing trailer wheel so that in use when the turf treatment trailer is attached to the ride-on lawnmower which is moving forward over the ground, a substantially common area of the turf on the ground is sequentially traversed by the first ground-bearing trailer wheel and treated by the turf treatment unit.

摘要: In a mobile soil working device comprising a machine frame (23), a drive for at least one penetration tool (3) adapted for up and down movement, the penetration tool (3) being adapted to be driven into the soil and to be pulled out again, a guide element (4) for at least one penetration tool (3), the guide element being guided movably at the machine frame (23), a tool holder (2) for the penetration tool (3), which is supported for pivotal movement about a first pivot axis (40) in the guide element (4) movable up and down by the drive, so as to allow a pivoting of the penetration tool (3) against a spring force while the tool is in the soil, it is provided that, between the tool holder (2) and the guide element (4), a torsion element (1a, 1b, 1c) is provided coaxially with the first pivot axis (40), which torsion element, under a force effect on the at least one penetration tool (3), allows the tool holder (2) to pivot relative to the guide element (4) and, when the force effect ceases, exerts a restoring moment on the tool holder (2) so that the penetration tool (3) pivots back to the home position after having been pulled from the soil.

摘要: In certain embodiments a soil aerator may include a hinged frame assembly that cooperates with one or more weight transferring systems adapted to permit an aeration subassembly to lift off the ground when an aeration tine impacts a hard obstacle such as a rock in the soil. The weight transferring systems may in the preferred embodiments be calibrated so that only minimal upward force, such as that caused by impact of an aeration tine with a rock, may cause the aeration subassembly to lift thereby significantly reducing or preventing damage to the aeration tines and drive assemblies and substantially prolonging the life of the aerator.

摘要: A conventional tine used for management of a broad expanse of grass is manufactured by cutting a long hole-shaped opening in the middle portion of a pipe. As a result, the width of the opening is narrower than the diameter of the pipe, a plug resulting when a tip of the tine bores a hole in the grass does not easily drop out from the opening, and the tine is easily clogged. A tine according to the present invention includes a hollow cylindrical tip insertion (11) that is tapered and becomes thinner as it approaches the tip, a base grip (12) apart from the tip insertion (11), and a connection (13) for connecting between the tip insertion (11) and the base grip (12), wherein the connection (13) includes an aperture (15), and the aperture (15) has a circumferential angle of 180 degrees or greater centered around the central axis a of a virtual hollow cylinder (17), which is formed by extending the maximum diameter portion of the tip insertion (11) toward the base grip (12).

摘要: An aerator with a hole spacing control system is disclosed. The aerator has a traction drive with at least a pair of driven wheels and a single steered wheel. A vehicle control unit provides commands to the traction drive to move the aerator at a specified ground speed. An operator-adjustable hole spacing actuator may be moved to a plurality of hole spacing settings. The hole spacing actuator is electrically connected to the vehicle control unit. The vehicle control unit includes logic to vary the commands to the traction drive based on the hole spacing settings from the actuator. An engine speed sensor and/or coring head speed sensor also may be electrically connected to the vehicle control unit, and the vehicle control unit commands being also based on inputs from those speed sensors.

摘要: An implement that conditions the ground surface as it is moved there over aerating the soil and distributing fertilizer and/or seeds thereon. The implement has a pair of aerator rollers mounted on a frame that can be towed by a tractor or constructed so as to be self-propelled if so desired. The aerator rollers project below the frame for rolling engagement with the ground and are located one behind the other in tandem relation relative to the direction of travel of the implement during use thereof. Each aerator roller has a plurality of formations defining teeth that penetrate the ground surface. The formations on each aerator roller are spaced apart from one another circumferentially around and longitudinally along the roller associated therewith and such formations on one aerator roller are offset from those on the other roller permitting overlap of the same. The aerator rollers are interconnected in drive and driven relation to rotate in a predetermined ratio. A hopper mounted on the frame dispenses seeds, fertilizer or the like if so desired. A rear depth control roller assembly using one or more rollers or wheels is pivotally mounted on the frame and can be brought into rolling engagement with the ground to control the depth of penetration of the formations of the aerator rollers into the ground.

摘要: A tine for a turf aerator comprises a hollow, generally cylindrical tine having a lower section that first contacts the ground as the tine is driven into the ground with the lower section having an open bottom mouth. The tine includes an aeration core exit. A core comprising a splitting or dividing wall is fixedly carried within the hollow tine to split or divide the aeration core into at least two sub-cores or pieces thereof, which are subsequently ejected from the tine through the exit. These two sub-cores dry more quickly than the single larger aeration core that would have been formed and ejected had the core splitter been absent.
