摘要： Skin treatment solutions are applied to the face, for example, by use of a flexible opaque mask 10. On a timed basis, one or more treatment solutions from vials 24-26 are provided to various facial areas via flexible tubes 20. In order to enable use of active treatment solutions including vitamin formulations subject to oxidation degradation in the presence of air, for example, a neutral atmosphere is provided. This is accomplished by supplying a neutral gas, such as nitrogen, from a cylinder 50 to mask 10 via flexible tubes 48. The neutral gas is infused between the mask 10 and the underlying skin at a low over pressure sufficient to drive air out from under the mask. Single treatment quantities of treatment solutions can be intermittently applied on a timed basis by the action of pump 36 operating under the control of programmable timers 30 and 40.

摘要： A personalized sauna comprising an elongated, horizontally extending bed which is connected to a supporting pedestal. The bed is positioned at least partially within the pedestal and is designed to an individual in a horizontal position. The sauna also includes a structure for uniformly directing downwardly heated, recirculating air above and over the top of the bed to provide an air shower and a flow of air over a person lying on the bed. The structure includes a cover member, hingedly mounted to the pedestal at the end which extends substantially along the entire length of the bed. An elongated upper chamber is formed within the cover member and extends substantially along the entire length of the cover member. A duct is formed on the cover and has air outlet openings leading from the duct to the chamber for introducing recirculated air into the chamber. A blower is supported on the cover for circulating air from the chamber, which enters through air inlet openings, into the duct. A heating element is provided within the duct for heating the air. The air outlets are spaced substantially along the entire length of the duct and upper chamber for downwardly distributing air heated by the elements from the duct into the chamber and thus, above and over the individual's body lying atop the bed with a generally uniform air flow rate along the length of the body.

The pressure of the oxygen in the collapsible bag is pulsated between maximum and minimum positive values. The patient cyclically experiences first a medicinal increase in the blood gas levels in the limb under treatment with a corresponding restricted bloow flow and, thereafter, a progressive return to normal blood flow rates in the limb of the patient as the pressure in the chamber changes from maximum to minimum positive pressure. A respirator, normally used for intubated respiratory patients, in conjunction with a single oxygen influent/effluent port in hyperbaric oxygenation apparatus is efficacious to provide the oxygen and generate the desired pressure variations. Cuff inversion under positive pressure is prevented by anti-blowout structure.
