摘要: An exhaust gas purification catalyst is provided which can be more enhanced in NOx purification performance. An exhaust gas purification catalyst including a substrate, a NOx storage layer located over the substrate, an oxidation catalyst layer located over a part of the NOx storage layer, the part being located upstream in an exhaust gas flow direction, and a reduction catalyst layer located over a part of the NOx storage layer, the part being located downstream in an exhaust gas flow direction, wherein the NOx storage layer includes an oxidation catalyst including Pd or Pd and Pt, and a NOx storage material including at least one element selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal, an alkali earth metal and a rare-earth element, the oxidation catalyst layer includes an oxidation catalyst including Pt or Pt and Pd, the reduction catalyst layer includes a reduction catalyst including Rh, and a total content rate (mol %) of Pt and Pd based on a total content rate (100 mol %) of metal element(s) in the oxidation catalyst layer is higher than a total content rate (mol %) of Pt and Pd based on a total content rate (100 mol %) of metal elements in the NOx storage layer.

The first layer can include a first oxygen storage component that includes ceria and is impregnated with a palladium (Pd) component and a second component including one or more of magnesium (Mg), rhodium (Rh), and platinum (Pt). The second layer can include a refractory metal oxide component impregnated with platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd), wherein the ratio of Pt to Pd is in the range of about 0:10 to about 10:0.

摘要: A method of making of 1,2,5,6-hexanetetrol (“tetrol”). The method includes the steps of contacting a reaction solution containing water as well as levoglucosenone, dihydrolevoglucosenone, and/or levoglucosanol, with a catalyst containing metal and acid functionalities, at temperature of from about 100° C. to about 175° C., and a hydrogen partial pressure of from about 1 bar to about 50 bar (about 0.1 MPa to about 5 MPa), and for a time wherein at least a portion of the reactant is converted into 1,2,5,6-hexanetetrol.

摘要: Disclosed are a hollow mesoporous organic silica nano/microparticle having metal particles deposited thereon, and a method for preparing the same of the present disclosure. The method may prepare a spherical nanoparticle by coating a porous organic silica layer on an inorganic silica particle having the metal particles deposited thereon and via selective etching of the layer. In addition, two or more types of metals pre-synthesized together with a magnetic particle, or different shapes of metals may be deposited on the nanoparticle at a target concentration. Thus, the nano/microparticle may be used for a drug delivery matrix, a catalyst, and a photothermal effect.
