    摘要： A closure mechanism for a loose-leaf holder for sheets defining holes along an edge thereof comprises a base plate, fixed prongs for receiving the holes of the sheets carried by the base plate, interconected prongs pivotal between a closed position wherein they cooperate with the fixed prongs and an open position, a connecting element carrying the pivotal prongs, and a spring held in the connecting element of the pivotal prongs and having a free end portion of the spring supported on the base plate, the spring biasing the pivotal prongs into the open position.

    摘要： An improved sheet binding device for fastening together a plurality of sheets having pre-punched, spaced-apart openings, comprises an elongated backing member extending between such spaced-apart openings; and, attached to the backing member at spaced-apart positions corresponding to the spacing between such openings, a plurality of fastening elements, each comprising a connecting portion for insertion into such openings, and at the end of said connecting portion remote from said backing member, locking means movable between (1) a collapsed position in which the fastening element is insertable into such opening, and (2) an expanded position in which the locking means is effective to preclude removal of such sheets from said fastening element. This structure can be integrally molded from plastic material. In a preferred embodiment, the structure is substantially self-locking. Single-hole embodiments suitable as replacements for conventional brass head fasteners are also disclosed.

    摘要： A novel loose-leaf holder is provided for binding documents such as multi-leaf computer printouts and mounting the same in a suspension-filing and/or storing system. The holder is of the type described in U.S. Pat. No. 4,056,296 and comprises a plastic body which is molded as an integral unit and comprises two side sections which are connected together by a hinge section so that they can be swung toward and away from one another. The improvement comprises document mounting pins carried by one side section and engageable by the other side section, one or more of the pins being adjustbly mounted on the one side and movable toward and away from the other pins. Manually releasable locking means are provided for locking the two side sections together so as to captivate documents which are mounted on the pins.

    摘要： A binder for perforated looseleaf sheets comprises a profiled support member having a cross-sectional shape which defines a back and top and bottom flanges connected to the back. The support member has a longitudinal groove at the juncture between at least one flange and the back, whereby such flange is foldable with respect to the back. The foldable flange contains a longitudinal groove and the other flange contains a dovetail slot in which are slidably mounted studs on which the perforations of looseleaf sheets can be placed. The studs carry beads which interfit in the recess in the foldable flange so as to detachably secure the flanges together folding the support flat and can be closed by folding at a right angle.
