Abstract: A frame member usable with a like frame member supports file folders in a cabinet drawer. The frame member has a solid one piece construction consisting of an elongated file receiving rail and a pair of outer end support legs on the rail. The support legs are flexible longitudinally of the rail and have free ends which are shaped for locking into recesses provided in the drawer by flexing the legs.

Abstract: A magnetic holder has a movable body made of a material upon which a magnet can function. The movable body is attached at its center to the center of the upper surface of the magnet. The lower surface of the magnet can be attached to any surface upon which a magnet can function. The surface of the movable body which faces the magnet is divided into sections radially centering on the center point of that surface. When the movable body is caused to move so that one of its sections is attached to the magnet by magnetic force the other sections are separated from the upper surface of the magnet. Paper is held to the surface upon which the magnetic holder is placed by the clipping part on the end of the section of the movable body which is attached to the magnet. This magnetic holder allows papers to be held to and removed from the appropriate surface easily and without danger of the magnetic holder being dropped from said surface during operation. Furthermore the requirement of only one relatively week magnet reduces the cost of production of this one-touch magnetic holder.

Abstract: In a hanging arrangement for holders intended for holding sheet-like articles (6) the holder (1) comprises two pivotable parts (2,3) which embrace the upper edge of respective suspended articles. The shaft (4) about which the holder parts pivot is bent to form an inner hook member (4a) and an outer hook member (4b), which extend in different planes. A hanging frame (10) comprises two mutually parallel U-shaped sections having wires or rods (13) extending therebetween. The inner hook member (4a) of the holder (1) is intended to be placed on a wire (13), therewith enabling the holder to be moved inwardly. The outer hook member (4b) is then attached to the outer U-shaped section (12), to complete the operation.

Abstract: A system for supporting documents such as multi-leaf computer print-out documents is presented and uses a holder having a main support member having a pair of support posts for supporting documents and a closure member pivotally mounted on the main support member for movement between an open position wherein documents can be mounted on or removed from the support posts and an intermediate position having a portion superposed over the support posts. The closure member can be moved in a linear direction from the intermediate position to a fully closed position in which the main support member and the closure member are locked together. Guiding forces control the linear movement of the closure member and frictional forces function to hold the main support member and the closure member in the fully closed position.

Abstract: An improved clamp apparatus for storing sheets, for example of paper or foil, including especially maps and drawings, the sheets being neither rolled nor folded so that they can be readily inspected, and a considerable number of sheets can be stored without interfering with each other. The sheets are held from above from any convenient rail, by being inserted, singly or multiply in a clamp that may be comparable in length with the sheet the pressure of the clamp being adjusted gradually by means of wing nuts on self locking bolts and being biased by leaf springs.

Abstract: A hanger for holding limp sheet material from a conveyor trolley in a conveyorized garment making plant or the like is fabricated almost entirely of bent wire parts and may be used to hold only one or a group or stack of workpieces. When the hanger arrives at a work station the workpieces may be removed from it, or they can remain on the hanger while they are worked. For the latter case the hanger includes a folding bar useful in separating the already worked pieces from those yet to be worked.

Abstract: An apparatus for cataloguing and storing photographic prints and negatives in the same aesthetically designed case. In one embodiment, a negative album is placed in one compartment of the case, and a second compartment of the case retains a plurality of separately bound and identifiable photograph albums. The negative albums holds a plurality of conventional paper negative/print wallets, labelled to correspond to respective photograph albums stored in the apparatus. Each individual photograph album is designed for facile addition, removal, substitution and viewing of individual photographs; and is attached to a hand-grippable hanger element to permit both removal of albums from the case as well as their return to the case. The apparatus performs the same function whether vertically or horizontally disposed.

Abstract: A multi-layered engraved identification card includes a base layer having a first color and a color-changeable, heat sensitive layer initially having a second color which is changeable to a third color contrasting with the first color upon heating to a first temperature for a specified period of time. The color-changeable layer is initially prepared as a solution of a resin, a plasticizer, a heat-sensitive coloring agent for causing the color change, and a solvent in which both the base and the resin of the solution are soluable. Alternatively, the solution may further include a cross-linkable plasticizer with a peroxide to cause the resin of the solution and the plastic of the base to be cross-linked and hence bonded permanently to the base. The engraving may be done after the color changeable layer is formed on the base, or alternatively, the base may be first engraved and the color-changeable solution applied to the non-engraved surface regions or applied to fill the engraved depressions.

Abstract: A single-channel microfiche master housing a strip of microfilm containing one or more frames of reduced scale images, the master being manipulatable in one axial direction only by optical readers and other microfiche-handling machines. The master is constituted by a rectangular tab having a pair of keyhole notches at spaced positions in the lower edge thereof and a single channel transparent jacket accommodating the microfilm strip, one end of the jacket being secured to the tab at a position intermediate the notches to form a T-shaped structure. The microfiche master may be stored in a standard pull-out drawer by a raised pair of rails which is bridged by the tab, the rails passing through the notches whereby the jacket is suspended therebelow in the drawer.
