摘要: A method for manufacturing a portable data carrier by means of a continuous manufacturing method, comprises the steps: providing at least one foil as a rolled good, unrolling at least one first foil, with at least a first foil being coated at least partly with an adhesive on at least one side, with at least the first foil being scored on at least one side along at least one creasing edge, with at least the first foil being folded up in precise fit along at least one creasing edge and bonded, with the foil being folded up in the direction of the side which is coated with adhesive, with the side coated with adhesive being arranged on the opposite side of the foil which has at least one scored creasing edge along which it is folded.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction card constructions, and particularly, to a two-piece transaction card construction. Disclosed embodiments include a generally planar first card component including a first surface and a generally planar second card component including a second surface wherein the first card component is separate from the second card component. In disclosed embodiments, for example, the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a cavity and the other forms an inlay component configured to be seated within the cavity. In other embodiments the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a container and the other forms a lid configured to close the container.

摘要: An optically variable security element for securing valuable articles that viewing-angle-dependently displays a motif having at least one curve depiction that, from a first viewing direction, is visible as an initial curve having two or more connected, non-collinear segments and that, when the security element is tilted about a predetermined axis, splits into the individual segments in that the segments of the initial curve move alternatingly in different directions away from the initial curve. Each of the segments has associated with it one movement segment in the form of a sub-region of an areal motif region, such that, from the first viewing direction, the segments display the initial curve having the connected segments and that, from viewing directions tilted about the predetermined axis, they display curve depictions in which, with increasing tilt angle, the segments lie alternatingly in different directions increasingly further away from the initial curve.

In one variation, there is also provided a means for determining whether an object presented to the fingerprint reader is a finger of the user presenting the card.

By adopting the technical solution that a multilayer synthesized hollowed-out substrate is obtained by synthesizing a plurality of hollowed-out substrates, and the synthesized hollowed-out substrate is filled with an internal insert, the production difficulty of the smart card with a function of human-computer interaction is reduced, and the production efficiency is increased.

摘要: An information recording medium having a front surface and a back surface has a first color developing layer, a second color developing layer and a third color developing layer. The first color developing layer develops yellow at a temperature not less than a first threshold value. The second color developing layer is arranged at the back surface side with respect to the first color developing layer. The second color developing layer develops magenta at a temperature not less than a second threshold value that is lower than the first threshold value. The third color developing layer is arranged at the front surface side with respect to the first color developing layer. The third color develops cyan at a temperature not less than a third threshold value that is higher than the first threshold value.

摘要: A security device is provided including a transparent layer having a first optically variable effect generating relief structure formed in a surface thereof; a reflection enhancing body extending over the first relief structure and following the contour of the first relief on a first side of the reflection enhancing body; and a second optically variable effect generating relief structure formed in a second side of the reflection enhancing body. The reflection enhancing body includes at least a first reflection enhancing layer defining the first and/or second sides of the reflection enhancing body and the first reflection enhancing layer includes a binder having reflective particles dispersed therein. When the device is viewed through the transparent layer, the optically variable effect of the first relief structure is visible and when the device is viewed from the other side, the optically variable effect of the second relief structure is visible.
