    摘要: A RADIATION-CURABLE PAINT IS PROVIDED BY MIXING AN ALIPHA-BETA OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED SILOXANE. THE RESIN ALPHA-BETA OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED SILOXANE. THE RESIN MAY BE ANY ALPHA-BETA OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED POLYESTER HAVING BETWEEN ABOUT 0.5 AND ABOUT 5 UNITS OF ALPHA-BETA OLEFINIC UNSATURATION PER 1,000 UNITS MOLECULAR WEIGHT. BOTH MALEIC TYPE AND ACRYLIC TYPE UNSATURATION ARE ILLUSTRATE. IN ONE EMBODIMENT, THE POLYESTER IS THE COMMON, CONVENTIONAL POLYESTER FORMED FROM MELEIC ANHYDRIDE, A GLYCOL, AND RING TYPE ANHYDRIDE, E.G., PHTHALIC ANHYDEIDE, A GLYCOL, AND AN AROMATIC OR SATURATED ANHYDEIDE, E.G., PHTHALIC ANHYDRIDE, TETRAHYDROPHTHALIANHYDDRIDE, ETC. IN ANOTHER EMBODIMENT, A SATURATED POLYESTER IS REACTED WITH A DIISOCYANATE AND THE PRODUCT REACTED WITH A HYDROXYALKYL ACRYLATE. IN ANOTHER EMBODIMENT, THE POLYESTER IS A SILOXANE-MODIFIED POLYESTER. THE UNSATURATED SILOXANE COMPONENT IS THE REACTION PRODUCT OF AT LEAST TWO MOLAR PARTS OF A MONOMERIC, MONOHYDROXY ESTER OF AN ALPHA-BETA OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED MONOCARBOXYLIC ACID, E.G., ACRYLATES, METHACRYLATES, CROTONATES, CINNAMATES, WITH ONE MOLAR PART OF A SILOXANE HAVING AT LEAST TWO SILICON ATOMS WITH ONE VALENCE SATIFIED BY A HYDROXYL GROUP OR AN ALKOXY GROUP; THE REACTION IS A CONVENTIONAL CONDENSATION REACTION. VINYL MONOMERS MAY ALSO BE INCLUDED IN THE PAINT DISPERSION.

    摘要: This invention relates to brominated polyesters, based on diols and as co-reactants a brominated maleic acid, a brominated tetrahydrophthalic acid, anhydrides or brominated monomeric esters of the anhydrides thereof, which are substantially free of dibromosuccinate and dibromohexahydrophthalate groups, contain bromine end groups and possess excellent flame-retardant properties, excellent thermal stability, excellent resistivity to ultraviolet light and can be used as flame-retardant plasticizers and when containing unsaturated groups, derived from nonhalogenated unsaturated polycarboxylic acids, can be used in molding applications to form aesthetically attractive thermoset articles characterized by excellent chemical, physical and electrical properties.
