摘要: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for decoding an image. A method includes receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding the image; dividing a first coding block into a plurality of second coding blocks; generating a prediction block of a second coding block based on syntax information obtained from the bitstream; and reconstructing the second coding block based on the prediction block and a residual block of the second coding block, the residual block being obtained by performing a dequantization and an inverse-transform on quantized transform coefficients from the bitstream. The first coding block has a recursive division structure. The first coding block is divided based on at least one of a quad tree division, a binary tree division or a triple tree division.

摘要: An image decoding apparatus obtain pieces of coded data that is included in a bitstream and generated by coding tiles. Tile boundary independence information is further obtained from the bitstream, with the tile boundary independence information indicating whether each of boundaries between the tiles is one of a first boundary or a second boundary. The pieces of coded data are decoded to generate image data of the tiles. Image data of a first tile is generated by decoding a first code string included in first coded data with reference to decoding information of a decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the first boundary, and by decoding the first code string without referring to the decoding information of the decoded tile when the tile boundary independence information indicates the second boundary.

A method for decoding a 360-degree image comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream, so as to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format.

摘要: A method for decoding a 360-degree image includes: receiving a bitstream obtained by encoding a 360-degree image; generating a prediction image by making reference to syntax information obtained from the received bitstream; combining the generated prediction image with a residual image obtained by dequantizing and inverse-transforming the bitstream to obtain a decoded image; and reconstructing the decoded image into a 360-degree image according to a projection format. Generating the prediction image includes: obtaining, from motion information in the syntax information, a motion vector candidate group including a motion vector of a block adjacent to a current block to be decoded; deriving a prediction motion vector from the motion vector candidate group based on selection information extracted from the motion information; and determining a prediction block for the current block to be decoded, using a final motion vector derived by adding the prediction motion vector to a differential motion vector extracted from the motion information.

A first candidate is derived from a first motion vector that has been used to decode a first block. The first block is adjacent to the current block. A first index identifying a reference picture to be selected for decoding the current block is decoded. A second candidate having a second motion vector that includes a non-zero value is derived. The non-zero value is assigned to the reference picture. A selected candidate is selected from a plurality of candidates, including the first candidate and the second candidate. A second index identifying the selected candidate is decoded. The current block is decoded using the selected candidate. The second candidate includes the non-zero value of the reference picture, with the reference picture being selected from a plurality of referable reference pictures.

The PT portion comprises partitioning according to one of a binary tree structure or a center-side triple tree structure. The processing circuitry is further configured to partition, based on the determination, the current block according to the PT portion, to form a plurality of sub-blocks.

A second video encoding process is executed with respect to a second video source for generating a second video stream by a second video encoder. The first and second video sources have different dynamic ranges from each other, and the second coding parameters are introduced into the second video encoding process.
