摘要： In order to improve a support (2) for supporting a patient, particularly for surgical procedures in the shoulder region, said support comprising a substantially flat body part (4) and a bowl-shaped head part, said body part (4) comprising a back part (6) and a thorax part (8) tapered in relation thereto, the head part (10) being disposed on said thorax part by means of a transitional region, with the thorax part (8) and the transitional region sloping upwards such that the head part (10) is higher than the back part (6), and with said head part being adapted to the human profile and comprising a removable, inflatable support for adapting the position of the patient to the current positional or treatment requirements, the invention proposes that the transitional region be designed as neck part (12) and also be adapted to the human profile, comprising a removable, inflatable support for adapting the position of the patient to the current positional or treatment requirements.

摘要： A prayer cushion for use during Islamic ritual prayers to reduce pain and black marks on an individual's knees and ankles comprises a generally rectangular pad of hollow polyester fibers with a soft cotton layer on top of the hollow polyester fibers. The pad has a width of about 50 cm, a length of 25 to about 50 cm and an thickness of about 14 cm. The pad also defines two relatively short longitudinally extending floor engaging channels extending from a rear edge of the cushion and is adapted to receive a portion of an individual's foot therein. The channels also have a height of about 8 cm and width of about 12 cm and extend for a length that will accommodate a portion of an individual's foot.

摘要： A gripper foundation is disclosed comprising a conventional mattress foundation which is encased within foundation upholstery. The foundation upholstery contains a sheet material which covers the entire top surface of the foundation, the sheet material having a raised pattern printed thereon which creates a high coefficient of friction with the bottom of a mattress surface or a bed sheet contained therebetween. The raised pattern may cover the entire top surface of the foundation, only a portion of the top surface, such as the perimeter portion, or other alternate configurations. The raised pattern may also take on a variety of patterns such as a plurality of diagonal lines, a plurality of straight lines, a plurality of diamonds or squares, or any other such pattern. The gripper foundation eliminates the need for any type of mechanical bed sheet retainer or additional pad or frictional surface which is to be positioned between a foundation and mattress.

In embodiments, the shoulder immobilizer (20) may utilize a shoulder strap (28), but such a shoulder strap is not necessary for shoulder immobilization of the patient.

摘要： In the conventional support mechanism capable of supporting the distal end of the leg bottom section at either a high position or a low position in the state where the knee bottom section is pivotally raised, the distal end of the leg bottom section that is set at the high position can be shifted to the low position only in the state where the knee bottom section is kept pivotally raised. If the knee bottom section is pivotally lowered in the state where the distal end of the leg bottom section is set at the low position, the distal end of the leg bottom section is forcedly released from the mechanical engagement for the low position and shifted to the mechanical engagement for the high position.The present invention solves the abovementioned problem by a support mechanism, characterized in that one end of a knee bottom section 2 is supported on a bed frame 1 in such a manner that the knee bottom section can be pivotally raised and lowered, that one end of a leg bottom section 6 is pivotally rotatably connected with the other end of the knee bottom section, that a support stay 7 is pivotally rotatably connected with the underside of the other end of the leg bottom section, that a support means 11 of the support portion 9 provided at the opposite tip of the support stay is provided on the bed frame, that the support means consists of a guide portion 12 and an engaging portion 13 for movably supporting the support portion of the support stay, that said guide portion can support said support portion moved in relation with the pivotal rotation of the knee bottom section within the entire pivotal rotation range of the knee bottom section, and that the engaging portion is provided above or below the vacant portion adjacent to the end portion of the guide portion on which the support portion is located when the knee bottom section is pivotally lowered.
