    摘要: A support is provided, comprising a first bar with a first abutment element, a second bar with a second abutment element, and a guiding device by which the first bar is displaceably guided on the second bar. An actuating device which acts on the first bar and which comprises an actuating element is arranged on the second bar. A displacement of the first bar in a first direction of displacement can be initiated by actuation of the actuating element. The first direction of displacement is a direction of increase in distance between the first abutment element and the second abutment element. The actuating device comprises a blocking device which blocks a displacement of the first bar in relation to the second bar in a second direction of displacement, which is opposite the first direction of displacement, at least when no active releasing action occurs at the blocking device.

    摘要: A jacking pole apparatus is disclosed. A jacking pole may include two tubular members, slidably engaged with one another in such a manner that they may extend or expand. A jacking pole may engage two surfaces or objects and extend therebetween in order to provide support. Further, a jacking pole may vertically displace an object or surface. A jacking pole utilizes locking mechanisms to remain in certain positions and provide continuous support for surface and objects. The locking mechanisms may also be utilized during vertical displacement in order to facilitate such motion.

    摘要: An adjustable spreader bar of a trench box has male and female telescoping pipes. The male telescoping pipe has a plurality of indexed openings, and the female telescoping pipe has an outer threaded portion with a groove to receive a locking pin. A sleeve is threadably attached to the outer threaded portion of the female telescoping pipe, and the sleeve has a sleeve opening and an inside channel for receiving the locking pin therethrough, so that fine adjustments, in the relationship between opposing panels of the trench box, can be made by rotating the sleeve about the threaded portion of the female pipe for extension or retraction of the male pipe, by forcing the locking pin along the groove.

The knee brace bracket includes front and rear face members defining circular structures for extending around a main pipe brace which extends between a panel and a floor slab. The knee brace bracket includes a plurality of rollers engaged with the main pipe brace whereby the main pipe brace is permitted to rotate within the knee brace bracket to permit a screw adjustment for the length of the main pipe brace.

    摘要: A telescopic beam has a cross-section comprising an array of members (11-17) whose cross-section are of essentially spiral or modified spiral form such that members have lengths of identical (or broadly identical) cross-section (in profile and dimension) and constant (or broadly constant) cross-section along their axis. In the array the members are rotationally offset relative to one another about an axis (A) of the beam parallel to their own axis. In addition the members in the array engage one another such that relative linear movement between two adjacent members is constrained to be possible only in the direction of their axis. The array is assembled to produce the telescopic beam. The maximum number of members in any beam is dependent on the magnitude of the rotational offset incorporated in the particular section used. Any amount of rotational offset can be selected and so can any number of sections from a minimum of two to a maximum restricted only by the practical limits of the production process and the material chosen.

    摘要: The extensible support pole unit having a simple structure including a plurality of shaped members, e.g., cylindrical bodies, band-like plates having, e.g., an arched cross-sectional shape, a band-like plate feed mechanism, and a driving device. The support pole is extended to stand or retracted by only paying out or winding up the band-like plates. The support pole can therefore be extended to a length freely selected, and it is possible to freely set a large extension ratio by selecting the length of each cylindrical body and the number of cylindrical bodies. The band-like plates have, for example, an arched cross-sectional shape and have properties such as to be strong against the vertical load as compared with flat plates. The band-like plates are retained in the guide slits or guide holes formed in the partition members disposed in the cylindrical bodies to further improving the above properties. With respect to the lateral load, the material, the diameter, the thickness of each cylindrical body, and the area of the connection portion of each cylindrical body are selected to maintain a sufficient strength. The influence of the lateral load upon the band-like plates is therefore negligible.
