摘要： Apparatus and method for temporarily supporting metal framing members during construction of a metal frame structure. A spacer tool has a main body portion with an outer tube and a first support plate at one end, and an extendable portion with an inner tube and a second support plate at an opposing end. The inner tube is slidably retractable and extendable within the outer tube to establish an overall separation distance between the first and second support plates via a locking assembly. Each of the first and second support plates includes at least one magnet to enable the support plates to be magnetically secured to each of the adjacent metal framing members during installation thereof. For example, a first metal stud can be secured, and the spacer tool can be used to position and support a second metal stud for installation at the desired spacing from the first stud.

摘要： A telescopic edge protection post arrangeable between a floor and a ceiling, wherein the telescopic edge protection post comprises an outer tube having a floor end and a top end, and an inner tube having a bottom end and a ceiling end. The inner tube extends into the outer tube and is movable with respect thereto between an extended position and a collapsed position. The post further has a locking mechanism arranged to lock the inner tube with respect to the outer tube, and a tensioning device. The locking mechanism comprises a fixed element, which is attached to the outer tube at its top end, and a movable element, which is movable with respect to the fixed element between a locking position in which the movable element engages with the inner tube and the fixed element to prevent the inner tube from being retracted into the outer tube.

摘要： A jacking pole apparatus is disclosed. A jacking pole may include two tubular members, slidably engaged with one another in such a manner that they may extend or expand. A jacking pole may engage two surfaces or objects and extend therebetween in order to provide support. Further, a jacking pole may vertically displace an object or surface. A jacking pole utilizes locking mechanisms to remain in certain positions and provide continuous support for surface and objects. The locking mechanisms may also be utilized during vertical displacement in order to facilitate such motion.

摘要： An expandable stud bracket for attachment to a board for construction of a temporary structure of support is disclosed. An embodiment of the bracket includes a receiving portion for securing the bracket to a stud, an adjustable portion opposite the receiving portion and having an extendable rod, an engagement plate attached to an end of the rod and an anchor attached to an end of the rod opposite the engagement plate and for limiting extension of the rod from the bracket, and a locking mechanism attached to the rod for preventing retraction. Optionally, a tensioning mechanism, such as a Belleville washer may be used in a key location to “self-adjust” for shrinkage or tension loss. An embodiment of the disclosed bracket may be attached between two boards to permit better access to the locking mechanism. A reusable fastener is also disclosed.

摘要： A device to aid the unloading of support elements, the support elements comprising a lower shaft and an upper shaft telescopically coupled to each other. The device includes annular first and second bodies coaxially couplable with each other. Each annular body is provided with a through-hole that allow the upper shaft to extend through the through holes. The upper shaft is also supported by the first annular body using a transversely extending member. The second annular body rests on the lower shaft. An intermediate unloading wedge is positioned between the first and the second annular bodies coupled together, and is able to slide transversally with respect thereto. The sliding of the unloading wedge causes the first annular body and the second annular body to come together or move apart in the longitudinal direction and, therefore, reduce or increase, respectively, the total length of the support element.
