Abstract: A requirements knowledge graph may include nodes for different elements of a requirement's relationship to physical characteristics, such as the requirement and the associated unsafe conditions, control objects, and hazards. A connection between nodes may define a relationship between the corresponding elements. The requirement, that is decomposed into a subject, an object, a predicate, and a context, may define a rule for the control object in the unsafe condition to avoid the hazard. A model for a plan (e.g., drilling plan for a well, design for a drilling tool) may be constructed based on the requirements knowledge graph. The plan may be generated based on the model.

Abstract: Multi-metallic bulk catalysts and methods for synthesizing the same are provided. The multi-metallic bulk catalysts contain nickel, molybdenum tungsten, copper, and optionally, titanium and/or niobium. The catalysts are useful for hydroprocessing, particularly hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation, of hydrocarbon feedstocks.

Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating reservoir productivity as a function of position in a subsurface volume of interest are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: obtain subsurface data and well data corresponding to a subsurface volume of interest; obtain a parameter model; use the subsurface data and the well data to generate multiple production parameter maps; apply the parameter model to the multiple production parameter maps to generate refined production parameter values; generate multiple refined production parameter graphs; display the multiple refined production parameter graphs; generate one or more user input options; receive a defined well design and the one or more user input options selected by a user to generate limited production parameter values; generate a representation of estimated reservoir productivity as a function of position in the subsurface volume of interest using the defined well design and visual effects; and display the representation.

Abstract: An improved method for recovering metals from spent catalysts, particularly from spent slurry catalysts, is disclosed. The method and associated processes comprising the method are useful to recover catalyst metals used in the petroleum and chemical processing industries. The method generally involves a pyrometallurgical method and a hydrometallurgical method and includes forming a soda ash calcine of a caustic leach residue of the spent catalyst containing an insoluble Group VIII/Group VIB/Group VB metal compound combined with soda ash, and extracting and recovering soluble Group VIB metal and soluble Group VB metal compounds from the soda ash calcine.

Abstract: A deluge nozzle diversion apparatus can include a collection component having at least one wall that forms a collection cavity, where the collection component has a first end and a second end. The deluge nozzle diversion apparatus can also include an adjustable securing apparatus that is configured to secure the first end of the collection component to a deluge nozzle assembly of a deluge system when the adjustable securing apparatus is in a closed position. The deluge nozzle diversion apparatus can further include a diversion channel coupled to the second end of the collection component, where the diversion channel is adjustable and has a length sufficient to divert a fire protection fluid flowing therethrough to an alternative location. The collection cavity of the collection component can be configured to receive all of the fire protection fluid discharged from a deluge nozzle of the deluge system.

Abstract: Described are processes to produce base oils with one more improved properties, e.g., lower aromatics, economically and/or efficiently. In some embodiments the processes comprise a step that reduces the amount of residual refractory sulfur compounds prior to or simultaneous with a hydrofinishing step which advantageously provides base oils with lower aromatics than comparable processes.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include processes for selective ring-opening of cycloparaffins in hydrocarbon feeds to produce hydrocracked cycloparaffins. In particular, the process comprises contacting a hydrocarbon feed comprising cycloparaffins with hydrogen and a catalyst comprising an unsulfided, low-acidity, metal-containing zeolite under hydrocracking conditions; wherein the metal is selected from the group consisting of platinum, nickel, rhodium and mixtures thereof. The processes are useful for upgrading petroleum streams to lubricant base stocks.

Abstract: Embodiments of generating values for property parameters are provided. One embodiment comprises obtaining values for a plurality of samples. The values correspond to a set of property parameters. The embodiment comprises identifying a first subset of property parameters from the set of property parameters that correlate to substantially all property parameters of the set of property parameters; and generating at least one model using the first subset of property parameters and a database corresponding to the at least one model, and using the at least one model for generating a value for at least one other property parameter of the set of property parameters. The first subset of property parameters and the at least one other property parameter are different. Another embodiment comprises generating a value for at least one other property for an additional sample using the at least one model.
