    Abstract: A system for coupling a satellite antenna to a mounting structure is provided. The system may include a mounting structure and a satellite antenna. The mounting structure may include a plurality of tabs extending upward, and located at a first elevation. The mounting structure may also define a first plurality of apertures located at a second elevation, where the first elevation is higher than the second elevation. The satellite antenna may define a second plurality of apertures configured to accept the plurality of tabs. The satellite antenna may be supported by the mounting structure upon the plurality of tabs being accepted by the second plurality of apertures. The satellite antenna may also define a third plurality of apertures which may be aligned with the first plurality of apertures upon the plurality of tabs being accepted by the second plurality of apertures.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present technology may include systems and processes associated with automatically generating supercuts associated with programming content. The present technology may include receiving, at the computing device, a set of related programming content, wherein the set of related programming content includes video clips; receiving an input from a user including a command to generate a supercut and a keyword associated with the supercut; searching the set of related programming content for portions of the video clips associated with the keyword; identifying a first event within a first video clip associated with the keyword and a second event within a second video clip associated with the keyword; determining a type of event associated with each of the first and second events and link the types of events with their respective events; determining a pre-event time period and a post-event time period for each of the first and second events based on the types of events; and generating and displaying a supercut using the first event, the second event, the pre-event time periods, and the post-event time periods. The above steps may be implemented as a computer-implemented method, computer program product, or device such as a television receiver, or in other types of embodiments.

    Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards an antenna mount that is configured with a self-plumbing mast for simplified peaking. The mounting system includes an elevation alignment joint that includes a first member and a second member, which are configured to rotate about a central axis and can be locked into a fixed rotation. A plumb is connected to the first member and an antenna mounting support is connected to the second member such that the antenna position is maintained at an elevation identified on the first member when in the fixed rotation. The mounting system also includes a base assembly that is configured to hold the elevation alignment joint such that the plumb weight self-orients in a vertical, plumb position with the antenna at the desired elevation. The base assembly also includes a compass for aligning the azimuth of the antenna.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for recognizing audio played in order to instruct a media player to record related video, the method includes: configuring a mobile client hosted by a mobile device for capturing audio content played in a vicinity of the mobile device wherein the mobile client captures at least audio data of the audio content played when instructed by a control selection of an user of the mobile client; recognizing, the audio data played, by applications based at a server which process the captured audio data from the mobile device and associate the captured audio data with video data of video content to determine, using the server based applications, video content related to the captured audio content wherein the related video content is generated by or found at one or more video sources in communication with the server; and instructing a media player coupled to the server to record the related video content for subsequent viewing by the user.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed at apparatus, systems and methods generally related to satellite, cable or other television receiver/DVR video systems for structuring a centralized content-processing device and/or its associated EPG in facilitating delivery and recording of audiovisual content when the centralized content-processing device is associated with multiple remote content-processing devices. In one implementation, a centralized content-processing device may create device-specific folders for the centralized content-processing device and one or more remote devices. The device-specific folders may, for example, include information for one or more programming events associated with content (e.g., TV shows, sports, movies, music, documentaries). In some embodiments, the device-specific folders for the remote content-processing devices are logically separated from one another in a manner such that a remote device is restricted access to the device-specific folder for the remote device.

For example, a computer-implemented method may include receiving, at a display of a user media device, an indication that a user of the user media device intends to generate a user video in an environment; receiving, at the display, an input indicating a user preference associated with the user video; generating, by the user media device, data associated with the environment using a sensor of the user media device; determining, by the user media device, a purpose for the user video using the user preference and the data associated with the environment, wherein the purpose is chosen from a predetermined set of purposes; detecting an additional media device that is located in the environment, wherein the additional media device is associated with the user or the user media device; determining pre-production assignments for the user video using the purpose and the additional media device, wherein the pre-production assignments indicate one or more characteristics of the scene for the user video in the environment; generating, using the user media device, a first video stream of the scene in the environment using the pre-production assignments; receiving, from the additional media device, a second video stream of the scene; and generating, by the user media device, the user video using the first video stream or the second video streams.
