Abstract:
A headset (1) comprising a switch (15; 19) and an actuating member (13), which is turnable in relation to the housing (2) about a first axis (A1). An ear hook (3; 32) is attached to the actuating member (13). The ear hook (3; 32) can be arranged in a right ear mode for wearing the headset (1) at the right ear and a left ear mode for wearing the headset at the left ear. The switch (15; 19) switches the headset electronics from an active state to a passive state, when the ear hook (3) is turned about the first axis (A1) in a first direction (P1) from an active position to a first passive position. The switch (15; 19) switches the headset electronics from the active state to the passive state when the ear hook (3) is turned about the first axis (A1) in the second direction (P2) from the active position to a second passive position.
Abstract:
A communication device (1, 15, 25, 35) comprising a housing (2) with a housing wall (50) bounding a space (7). The housing (2) comprises a first housing part (3) and a second housing part (4), which are joined along a dividing line (40), whereby a first abutment face (41) of the first housing part (3) abuts a second abutment face (42) of the second housing part (4) along the dividing line (40). A first microphone transducer (8) is arranged in the housing (2). The first microphone transducer (8) comprises a microphone opening (9), which is connected to the space (7). The space (7) is communicating with the surroundings via a peripheral line (47) of housing openings (39) in the outer side (44) of the housing wall (50) arranged along the dividing line (40), and housing channels (46) extending between the housing openings (39) and the inner side (43) of the housing wall (50). The housing channels (46) and the housing openings (39) are provided as recessions (45; 48) in the first abutment face (41). The invention also relates to the manufacturing such a communication device.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of and a device, such as a base station for a headset, for arranging text items in a predefined order, comprising storing, in the memory of a peripheral device, a collection of multiple text items arranged in multiple sets of text items and in multiple groups of text items; storing a respective code item with a respective group of text items; and storing a sort key that has values that designate a predefined order of the text items in each set. The sort key is appended to the text items and comprises at least one character with a value within the Private Use range of the Unicode format.
Abstract:
A headset (1) comprising an attachment device (2) for attaching the headset (1) to the head of a user and a speaker housing (3). The speaker housing 3 is connected slidable along and rotatable about a first axis (X) to the attachment device (2), such that it can be placed into a selected longitudinal and angular position within a longitudinal interval (LI) and an angular interval (AI). The longitudinal interval (LI) comprises a first zone (Z1) and a second zone (Z2), and the speaker housing (3) can rotate through a first angular interval (AI1), when in the first zone (Z1) and through a second angular interval (AI2), when in the second zone (Z2). The first angular interval (AI1) is larger than the second angular interval (AI2).
Abstract:
A headphone or a headset having at least a first and a second earphone unit is provided, the first and second earphone units being interconnected via a connecting band, the connecting band having a first end configured to connect to the first earphone unit and a second end configured to connect to the second earphone unit, wherein at least the first earphone unit comprises a first transceiver, and at least the first end of the connecting band comprises a second transceiver, the first and second transceivers being configured to inductively connect, thereby connecting the first earphone unit to conducting elements in the connecting band. It is an advantage of using an inductive connection between the earphone unit and the connecting band that no wires need to be transferred from the earphone unit to the connecting band. Hereby, a 360 degree rotation of the joint may be obtained.
Abstract:
A system comprising a wireless audio headset hub (1), at least two peripheral electronic devices (3, 4, 5) which are wirelessly connected to and controlled via the headset (1). The system further comprises a wireless handheld terminal (2), which is wirelessly connected to the headset (1) and comprising a terminal user interface (7) for receiving user input. The headset (1) and the terminal (2) are adapted so that a user by means of the terminal user interface (7) can control each of the peripheral electronic devices (3, 4, 5) via the headset (1).
Abstract:
A communications system and a method of detecting and learning new ringtones in an automatic manner, comprising a desk phone (1), a hook switch, a ringtone detector (3), and a communications device (2). In a first embodiment a mechanical hook switch device is connected to the desk phone (1), and in a second embodiment an electronic hook switch unit (9) is connected to the desk phone (1). The ringtone detector (3) adaptively sets the filter and amplifier parameters according to the sensor position and pick-up sensitivity. The ringtone detector (3) automatically detects and learns the characteristics of new ringtones. The communications device (2) may comprise a base station (6) and a headset (7).
