Abstract: Methods and systems for face recognition and response include extracting a face image from a video stream. A pre-processed index is searched for a watchlist image that matches the face image, based on a similarity distance that is computed from a normalized similarity score to satisfy metric properties. The index of the watchlist includes similarity distances between face images stored in the watchlist. An action is performed responsive to a determination that the extracted face image matches the watchlist image.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for rut detection is provided. The method includes detecting, by a rut detection system, areas in a road-scene image that include ruts with pixel-wise probability values, wherein a higher value indicates a better chance of being a rut. The method further includes performing at least one of rut repair and vehicle rut avoidance responsive to the pixel-wise probability values. The detecting step includes performing neural network-based, pixel-wise semantic segmentation with context information on the road-scene image to distinguish rut pixels from non-rut pixels on a road depicted in the road-scene image.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for implementing face recognition includes obtaining a face recognition model trained on labeled face data, separating, using a mixture of probability distributions, a plurality of unlabeled faces corresponding to unlabeled face data into a set of one or more overlapping unlabeled faces that include overlapping identities to those in the labeled face data and a set of one or more disjoint unlabeled faces that include disjoint identities to those in the labeled face data, clustering the one or more disjoint unlabeled faces using a graph convolutional network to generate one or more cluster assignments, generating a clustering uncertainty associated with the one or more cluster assignments, and retraining the face recognition model on the labeled face data and the unlabeled face data to improve face recognition performance by incorporating the clustering uncertainty.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting anomaly in video data are provided. The system includes a generator that receives past video frames and extracts spatio-temporal features of the past video frames and generates frames. The generator includes fully convolutional transformer based generative adversarial networks (FCT-GANs). The system includes an image discriminator that discriminates generated frames and real frames. The system also includes a video discriminator that discriminates generated video and real video. The generator trains a fully convolutional transformer network (FCTN) model and determines an anomaly score of at least one test video based on a prediction residual map from the FCTN model.

Abstract: A method detects anomalies in a system having sensors for collecting multivariate sensor data including discrete event sequences. The method determines, using a NMT model, pairwise relationships among the sensors based on the data. The method forms sequences of characters into sentences on a per sensor basis, by treating each discrete variable in the sequences as a character in natural language. The method translates, using the NMT, the sentences of source sensors to sentences of target sensors to obtain a translation score that quantifies a pairwise relationship strength therebetween. The method aggregates the pairwise relationships into a multivariate relationship graph having nodes representing sensors and edges denoted by the translation score for a sensor pair connected thereto to represent the pairwise relationship strength therebetween. The method performs a corrective action to correct an anomaly responsive to a detection of the anomaly relating to the sensor pair.

Abstract: A method for performing contrastive learning for graph tasks and datasets by employing an information-aware graph contrastive learning framework is presented. The method includes obtaining two semantically similar views of a graph coupled with a label for training by employing a view augmentation component, feeding the two semantically similar views into respective encoder networks to extract latent representations preserving both structure and attribute information in the two views, optimizing a contrastive loss based on a contrastive mode by maximizing feature consistency between the latent representations, training a neural network with the optimized contrastive loss, and predicting a new graph label or a new node label in the graph.
