Abstract:
An interactive, enhanced brochure display stand is provided. The display stand includes both traditional printed brochures as well as multimedia content delivered through any number of communication devices providing multisensory stimulation to a consumer. The communication devices may also include input devices allowing the consumer to interact with the display stand by selecting content to be experienced as well as initiating and completing sales transactions.
Abstract:
A mounting system for a motor assembly includes a plurality of fasteners for mounting a grill to a motor. The motor includes an endshield including a plurality of attachment points for attaching the endshield to the motor assembly and a plurality of openings for attaching the endshield to the grill. The grill is configured to be mounted to one of a first motor assembly and a second motor assembly. The endshield is formed with either a plurality of bosses including openings or a plurality of self-clinching nuts pressed into the plurality of openings.
Abstract:
In a multitasking data processing apparatus including means for executing processes and including a display adapter for executing functions supporting a display, the display adapter including a first port means for receiving, from the means for executing processes, requests to execute selected functions having a first execution priority, a second port means for concurrently receiving, from the means for executing processes, requests to execute selected functions having a second execution priority lower than the first execution priority, and means, coupled to the first and second port means, for executing selected functions according to the execution priority. In addition, in a multitasking data processing apparatus including means for executing processes and including a display adapter for executing functions supporting a display, a method of executing processes including the steps of receiving from the means for executing processes in a first port means requests to execute selected functions, the requests having a first execution priority, concurrently receiving from the means for executing processes in a second port means requests to execute selected functions having a second execution priority lower than said first execution priority, and executing the selected functions according to the execution priority.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a method, system, and apparatus for inserting caller identifying information into a video signal includes receiving a digital video stream and receiving caller identifier information from an incoming call associated with a calling device. The method further includes converting the caller identifier information into caller identifying textual information, and inserting the caller identifying textual information into the digital video stream using a visual timecode video insertion format. The method further includes transmitting the digital video stream with the inserted caller identifying textual information.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosed invention include a system and method for providing end to end quality of service for cellular voice traffic over a data network. For example, in one embodiment, the method includes tagging outgoing cellular traffic at a network interface device with a prioritization marking to produce prioritized data and transmitting the prioritized data directly to an access carrier network associated with providing an access line to the cellular network interface device. The method maintains, at the access carrier network, the prioritization marking of the outgoing cellular traffic for routing the outgoing cellular traffic through the access carrier network. The method hands off the prioritized data directly to a cellular service provider network associated with the cellular device via a directly connected network to network interface.
Abstract:
In one embodiment of the present invention, a system and method may be provided for validating communications permissions for an in progress communication. The system and method may include receiving location information, at a service provider, from a wireless communications device. The location information may be communicated to a database that is able to determine communications permissions based upon some predetermined criteria, such as time, date, and location. Based upon the received location information and a related database record, permissions for the wireless communications device may be determined. The determined permissions may be communicated to the service provider. The wireless communications device may be notified about restrictions on its communications, in response to receiving the permissions. The permissions determination may be repeated, as necessary, in response to receiving updated location information.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a general container mechanism for storage of object-oriented Java Beans. A repository is created for a persistent collection of items called ManagedBeans. Each ManagedBean contains a structured collection of code and data that makes up a Java Bean. The structured collection consists of items called ManagedBean Elements (MBE) which correspond to different types of code and data. Each ManagedBean Element is a subclass of the generic ManagedBean Element class. Each subclass identifies the different kinds of Bean sub-elements and contains the data contained in the corresponding file, and method that works on this data.
