A pixel unit, method for sensing touch of an object, and a display apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The display apparatus includes a data line. The pixel unit includes a first switch circuit electrically connected to the data line and a sensing circuit electrically connected to the first switch circuit. The sensing circuit generates a signal in response to the touch of the object, while the signal is transmitted through the data line with the first switch circuit turned on. In addition, the display apparatus further includes a readout line. The pixel unit further includes a second switch circuit electrically connected to the readout line. The sensing circuit is electrically connected to the second switch circuit. In a first time period, the sensing circuit receives a reference voltage via the first switch circuit. Then the signal generated by the touch of the object is transmitted through the readout line via the second switch circuit in a second time period.
Abstract:
A controller switching a display mode of a display panel. A processor provides a first initial signal and switches to a first display mode when a select signal is asserted. A gate driver simultaneously activates the gate electrodes in a first gate electrode group when receiving the first initial signal, sequentially activates the gate electrodes in a second gate electrode group when the first gate electrode group is activated, and simultaneously activates the gate electrodes in a third gate electrode group when the second gate electrode group is activated. A data driver provides corresponding image data to a data electrode depending on the activated gate electrodes when the first, second, or third gate electrode group is activated.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal display has a backlight module and an indicator. The indicator is used to detect the light brightness of the backlight module, and announces a warning when the light brightness is lower than a predetermined value. The indicator has at least one color light detection unit that includes a detector, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a controller and a warning display. The detector detects the brightness of a color light from the backlight module to generate a light brightness voltage. The ADC converts the light brightness voltage into a digital signal. The controller determines whether the brightness of the color light is lower than the predetermined value or not according to the digital signal. When the brightness of the color light is lower than the predetermined value, the controller makes the warning display announce the warning.
Abstract:
A video processing chip capable of adjusting aspect ratio and a method of displaying an image thereby are provided. The video processing chip outputs an adjusted image signal according to a video signal to an LCD panel to display an image. The video processing chip includes a video processor, a ratio detector, a timing controller, and a multiplexer. The video processor generates an image signal according to the video signal. The ratio detector detects the aspect ratio of the video signal, and outputs a ratio control signal according to a ratio setting value. The timing controller outputs a vertical blanking signal, a horizontal blanking signal, and a blanking data in responding to the ratio control signal. The multiplexer selects the blanking data signal or the image signal as the adjusted image signal to be outputted, so that the displayed image has the aspect ratio corresponding to the ratio setting value.
Abstract:
A common voltage adjustment circuit. The common voltage adjustment circuit is applied in a liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of display units, coupled to a common electrode. The common voltage adjustment circuit has a first register, a second register, a first digital-to-analog converter, a second digital-to-analog converter, and a regulator. The common voltage adjustment circuit adjusts AC voltage and DC voltage of the common voltage and provides the adjusted common voltage to the common electrode.
Abstract:
A data driver for a TFT-LCD. N1 channels of the data driver can be disabled. The data driver comprises a multiplexer and a shift register. The multiplexer receives a horizontal start pulse and at least one control signal. Output signals are transmitted from output terminals of the multiplexer according to the control signals. The shift register receives a clock signal and the output signals and generates a start pulse. The start pulse determines to provide a first image data at a first channel or a (N1+1)th channel according to which output terminal the signal is output from.
