    摘要: A portable terminal is disclosed, having a first housing, a second housing that is rotatably combined with the first housing and moves toward or away from the first housing while facing the first housing, and a camera lens assembly provided on the second housing. The second housing moves toward or far from the first housing as it is rotated with respect to a predetermined hinge axis. The hinge axis provides a rotation axis of a lens housing of the camera lens assembly, the rotation axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the camera lens assembly and passing through the center of the camera lens assembly. The lens housing and the second housing rotate with respect to the first housing as the second housing is moved toward or away from the first housing and the lens housing are rotated with respect to the second housing by a user when desired.

The auto search device includes: a receiver for receiving a control message with respect to information on a channel; a text message generator capable of displaying a message; a memory for storing information on a searched channel; and a controller for controlling such that an extent of channel search completion is displayed in a text message by driving the text message generator or stored in the memory according to a result of reading the control message from the receiver. Accordingly, since the control message is processed rapidly and effectively, the time required for the auto channel operation can be reduced, and the data loss which occurs due to a wireless characteristic can be compensated.

The touch screen system includes a display displaying at least one working window; a touch panel outputting a predetermined signal in correspondence with a touch input on the display; a coordinate value calculation unit calculating coordinate values of the touch input based on the signal outputted from the touch panel; a coordinate value storage unit storing coordinate value information indicating active regions for active working windows; a decision unit deciding whether the calculated coordinate values exist in the active regions which the coordinate value information stored in the coordinate value storage unit indicates; and a control unit interrupting a response to the touch input if the calculated coordinate values exist outside the active regions as a result of the decision of the decision unit. Accordingly, the present invention can reduce input errors, to thereby prevent delaying desired processings.

    摘要: There is disclosed a hinge mechanism for use in a portable phone having a phone body and a cover, the hinge mechanism configured to mechanically couple the cover to the phone body. The hinge mechanism includes at least one hinge module mounted to the phone body and configured to hinge the cover with respect to the phone body for opening and closing the cover. The hinge module includes a hinge housing having a bottom wall and a pair of opposite lateral end walls spaced from each other, one of the lateral walls having a hole. The hinge housing also has a pair of opposite longitudinal end walls spaced from each other. A hinge shaft is mounted in the housing and has a mountain-shaped portion provided with a pair of opposite cam surfaces at one longitudinal portion thereof and a shaft portion at the other longitudinal portion thereof. The hinge shaft is arranged in the hinge housing such that the shaft portion extends through the hole of the hinge housing outwardly from the hinge housing and is coupled to the cover. A hinge cam is provided in the hinge housing and has at one longitudinal portion thereof, a pair of mountain-shaped protrusions respectively provided with facing cam surfaces defining a valley-shaped portion therebetween, and, at the other longitudinal portion thereof, a mounting protrusion. The hinge cam valley-shaped portion is engaged with the mountain-shaped portion of the hinge shaft in such a fashion that it slides straight in a rotating axis direction in response to the rotation of the hinge shaft. A hinge spring is provided in the hinge housing to urge the hinge cam toward the hinge shaft.

The temperature controller has a shaft and a gear fixed on an end of the shaft. The rack has a width at least equal to the linear moving distance of the shaft. Then the activating button is moved rightward and leftward, letting the base with the rack move also so that the gear is rotated by the rack, with the shaft rotating to move forward or backward so as to set the wide range of temperature with many stages to be got for heating the electric cooking appliance.

    摘要: A flywheel based energy storage apparatus and method are disclosed. The flywheel based energy storage apparatus includes a housing and a hub-less flywheel mounted within the housing. The hub-less flywheel has a mass which is shifted radially outwards from a central axis of the hub-less flywheel thus increasing the energy density of the apparatus. The flywheel includes an outer axially extending annular surface, an inner axially extending surface and two radially extending side surfaces. The inner axially extending surface has a plurality of magnets aligned to form a rotor. A plurality of coils is supported by the housing and is aligned with the rotor to form a motor/generator. A controller controls the motion of the hub-less flywheel to reduce vibrations and controls electrical power transfer to and from the motor/generator.
