    摘要： A hospital bed includes a base and a deck having a head end and a foot end. A first scissors lift linkage is coupled between the base and the deck adjacent the head end of the deck. The first scissors lift linkage is movable from an extended position to a retracted position to raise and lower, respectively, the head end of the deck relative to the base. A second scissors lift linkage is coupled between the base and the deck adjacent the foot end of the deck. The second scissors lift linkage is movable from an extended position to a retracted position to raise and lower, respectively, the foot end of the deck relative to the base. A controller is provided for selectively and independently moving the first and second scissors lift linkages between the extended positions and the retracted positions.

    摘要： A strain relief and cable retention assembly for retaining a cable to a casing includes an anchor made of a flexible material. An internal bore along an axis of the anchor is sized to fit an outer jacket of the cable. Tabs extend away from the bore along axes perpendicular to the axis of the bore. A plate made of a stiff material extends along the tabs of the anchor. A section of the anchor passes through the plate such that the plate rests flat against the tabs between the tabs and a face of a casing. Reinforcing fibers from the cable are tied around the plate and the tabs, distributing stress from the cable to the plate and casing.

The linkage has a first mode of operation in which the seat and thigh sections remain substantially parallel to each other as the head section is raised and lowered and the linkage has a second mode of operation in which the thigh section tilts relative to the seat section as the head section is raised and lowered. A handle is movable relative to the head section between a first position in which the linkage is in the first mode of operation and a second position in which the linkage is in the second mode of operation.
