Abstract:
A mouth piece unit (6) for a semi-closed type breathing device (1) in which when pressing down a start button (102), the entirety of a movable assembly (70) moves and an external opening (73) opens, whereby a mouth piece (62) is caused to protrude, allowing a diver to hold it in his/her mouth. Since the movable assembly (70) is held at that position even if the start button (102) is restored, an inhalation gas supply valve (21) is held in an open state by an engagement bar (74), whereby the supply of inhalation gas is continued. When the mouth piece (62) comes out of the mouth of the diver, the movable assembly (70) is restored and the external opening (73) is automatically closed, thereby preventing water from entering the inside therethrough from the outside. To drain water, when the start button (102) is kept pressed down, purge gas is supplied from a purge gas supply valve (22), a water draining opening (120) opens, and a breathing air hose connecting port (61a) is closed, this allowing water to be automatically drained. Thus, it is possible to realize a mouth piece unit for a semi-closed type breathing device that can easily be used by a novice.

A micromilling device includes a milling chamber, at least one nozzle for injecting a stream of solid particles to be milled into the chamber in a predetermined path, and impact elements positioned in the path for impacting the stream of solid particles.
Abstract:
In an ophthalmological measurement method and apparatus, a laser beam of predetermined diameter is projected to the eye fundus and movement of a speckle pattern formed by light scattered by blood cells in blood vessel is detected by a photosensor as fluctuation in speckle light intensity to produce a speckle signal. The speckle light intensity will fluctuate more rapidly with a smaller output from the photosensor when cell velocities are high, while a low cell travel speed will decrease the lowering of the output therefrom. The speckle signal is integrated to produce an integrated speckle signal which is evaluated in terms of a rate of change to discriminate edges of a blood vessel. The integrated speckle signal is used to identify the blood vessel for automatic tracking of the blood vessel or for measurement of its diameter.

The speckle signal is then processed to derive therefrom its center of gravity, which is taken as a center of a blood vessel to identify the blood vessel. This enables the blood vessel parts to be identified with high accuracy and to be tracked automatically.
Abstract:
An injection apparatus of a plunger type for injecting reinforced materials such as BMC is of a single barrel type or a double barrel type having a rotatable plunger disposed in the barrel. A check valve device for preventing a back flow of the materials in a metering process is provided such that it is closed when the plunger is actuated to move axially for injection.
Abstract:
A feed for domestic animals containing saccharides mainly composed of fructooligosaccharide is particularly effective for growing young domestic animals. The feed can remedy the scours or loose passage frequently occuring young domestic animals in the weaning period of young animals and remarkably increase the weight of the young animals.
Abstract:
A magnetic-recording-disk test-head. The magnetic-recording-disk test-head includes a slider, a test pad and a slider-surface-shape control mechanism. The slider includes a leading edge and a trailing edge. The test pad is disposed at a trailing-edge side of the slider and is configured to remove and to detect asperities on a magnetic-recording disk. The slider-surface-shape control mechanism is configured to change a shape of an air-bearing surface of the slider and is disposed at a leading-edge side of the slider.
Abstract:
When a wireless IC tag in which information on a print area of a medium is recorded is provided in the medium, an image forming apparatus which forms an image on the medium by inputting the image includes: a wireless IC tag reader which reads information recorded in the wireless IC tag; an information acquiring unit which acquires the information from the wireless IC tag by using the wireless IC tag reader; a tag actual location designating unit which designates an actual location of the wireless IC tag by using the wireless IC tag reader; a reference location designating unit which designates a reference location of the medium; an angle calculating unit which calculates a rotational angle used to set the designated actual location of the wireless IC tag to a predetermined location on the basis of the designated reference location of the medium; and an image forming unit which forms the image in the print area of the medium by rotating the image by the calculated rotational angle.
Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes: a tag information reading/writing unit which reads information from an IC tag attached to or embedded in a predetermined location of a print medium and writes information to the IC tag through wireless communication with the IC tag and which reads layout information, which defines at least a location of a printable area on the print medium, from the IC tag; a record data inputting unit which inputs record data representing contents recorded on the print medium; and a printing control unit which performs a printing process on the print medium on the basis of print target data in which a print location of the contents represented by the record data is determined on the basis of the layout information and which updates the layout information on the basis of information directly or indirectly representing a printed area in the print medium subjected to the printing process and allows the tag information reading/writing unit to write the layout information subjected to the updating process to the IC tag.
