Abstract:
A scanning optical system is provided with a light source including a multi-mode laser diode emitting a laser beam, a polygonal mirror that deflects the laser beam emitted by the light source, and an fnull optical element that has positive power both in a main scanning direction and in an auxiliary scanning direction. The fnull optical element converges the laser beam deflected by the polygonal mirror to converge on an object to be scanned. In this scanning optical system, the fnull optical element is configured to include a reflection surface, and the power of the fnull optical element in the main scanning direction is provided mainly by the reflection surface thereof.
Abstract:
Lens barrel has a lens supporting frame to which a frontmost lens group is fixed, a first moving frame to which the lens supporting frame is engaged, a second moving frame to which a rear lens group which is positioned behind the frontmost lens group is supported, and a support frame movement mechanism for moving the first and second moving frame between ready-to-photograph positions and accommodation positions behind the ready-to-photograph positions in an optical axis direction. The support frame movement mechanism makes the first moving frame and the second moving frame rotate about the optical axis relative to each other with the lens supporting frame and the second moving frame being in contact with each other when the first moving frame and the second moving frame are positioned in the vicinity of accommodation positions. One of the lens supporting frames includes a low-frictional portion provided on a contacting surface thereof.

Abstract:
An electronic endoscope system with a color-balance alteration system includes a video scope having a CCD image sensor for producing a frame of color image-pixel-signals composed of frames of red, green, and blue image-pixel-signals. In the color-balance alteration system, nine red signals are extracted from the frame of red image-pixel-signals, and the nine signals form a 3null3 matrix including a central signal, and the eight circumferential signals. All four sets of three signals are selected from the nine signals, and each set of three signals is composed of the central signal, and two neighbouring signals aligned with each other such that the central signal lies therebetween. When a signal level of the central signal is smaller than both signal levels of the two circumferential signals with respect to even one set of three signals, the signal level of signal is decreased.
Abstract:
A scanning mirror unit for scanning a beam comprises: at least one cantilever which is formed by bonding an elastic material and a piezoelectric material together and supported by a base at its one end; and a movable mirror which is supported at least by a free end of the cantilever at its peripheral part. When voltage is applied to the piezoelectric material, the free end of the cantilever moves in a prescribed direction to press and move the peripheral part of the movable mirror while leaving a central part of the movable mirror at substantially the same position to cause a tilt to the movable mirror. With such composition of the scanning mirror unit, a reflecting member having a sufficient thickness (e.g. some hundreds of microns) can be employed for the movable mirror, by which a high power laser beam effective for treatment of affected parts, etc. can be reflected finely and durably.
Abstract:
A multiple-focal-length imaging device includes at least one image sensor positioned in one plane; and a plurality of image-forming optical systems through which a plurality of images at different magnifications are formed on a plurality of different image-forming areas on the image sensor.
Abstract:
A surveying system that comprises a position relation calculating processor, a correspondence establishing processor, and an image processor is provided. The position relation calculating processor calculates a positional relation between a coordinate system to which measurement information of a measurement point refers and an image of a surveying field, where a staking point is included. The correspondence establishing processor establishes correspondence between three-dimensional position information of the staking point and two-dimensional position information of a point corresponding to the staking point on the schematic image. The image processor superimposes a symbol that indicates the position of the staking point on the schematic image in accordance with the above correspondence.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a battery chamber; first through fifth contacts,. positioned in the battery, chamber; two detection switches which are turned ON only when two battery packs are accommodated in the battery chamber in the correct direction; a voltage detector capable of detecting first through sixth voltages between the first/second contacts, second/third contacts, third/fourth contacts, fourth/fifth contacts, first/third contacts, and third/fifth contacts, respectively; and a controller which allows either four cylindrical cells or the two battery packs to be used as the power source only if the two detection switches are ON when the fifth and sixth voltages are substantially the same, or if the two detection switches are OFF when the first, second, third and fourth voltages is greater than zero volts and that the first, second, third and fourth voltages are substantially the same.
