A numerical aperture (NA) controlling unit and a variable optical probe including the same are provided. The NA controlling unit includes: an aperture adjustment unit which controls an aperture through which light is transmitted; and a focus control unit that is disposed in a predetermined position with respect to the aperture adjustment unit, that focuses light transmitted through the aperture, and that has an adjustable focal length. The variable optical probe includes: a light transmission unit; a collimator that collimates light transmitted through the light transmission unit into parallel light; an NA controlling unit that focuses light on a sample to be inspected; and a scanner that varies a path of light transmitted through the light transmission unit such that a predetermined region of the sample is scanned by light that passes through the NA controlling unit.

A method of generating a help file used commonly in different models of image forming apparatuses includes reading a setting value indicating a function provided by one of the image forming apparatuses, setting a field value of a parameter corresponding to the read setting value, and configuring a help message based on the set field value of the parameter. A system to generate a help message includes a configuration module to determine identification information regarding each of a plurality of functions of an object included in one of software versions and characteristic data regarding the software version, and a universal help file including function descriptions for all of the software versions provided in a computer, receiving the identification information and the characteristic data, and generating the help message regarding the object using the function descriptions according to the identification information and the characteristic data. The function descriptions include a section filled with the characteristic data.

Systems and methods for detecting false code in web pages linked to a web site are provided. One system includes a web server for administering the web site and a surveillance server for collecting generated or updated web pages from among the web pages linked to the web site, selecting tags of a given tag type included in the collected web pages, determining whether the selected tags comprise false code, and providing the determination result to an administrator terminal such that an administrator can check the determination result. One method includes collecting web pages that were generated or updated within a set time period from among the web pages linked to the web site, determining whether tags included in the collected web pages comprise false code, and providing the determination result to an administrator terminal such that an administrator can check the determination result.

Micro-shutter device applicable to display devices including a flexible display device and method of manufacturing same are provided. Micro-shutter device includes membrane. Frame including receiving hole in its center portion is bonded to membrane. Transparent substrate is bonded to frame to encapsulate optical fluid received in receiving hole. Actuator varies refractive power produced by change in curvature of fluid lens formed in the center portion of the receiving hole due to bending of a periphery of the fluid lens. A reflector is disposed to correspond to the fluid lens and be spaced apart from the membrane, such that light intensity transferred to a user is adjusted depending on the refractive power produced by a change in curvature of the fluid lens. Therefore, the device has improved optical efficiency compared to using liquid crystal and a polarizing film, and can have a flexible structure for application to a flexible display device.

The pattern adjusting unit forms a projection pattern on an object, and adjusts a focus of the light beam emitted from the light generator.

A varifocal optical device is provided. The varifocal optical device includes an optical lens, an actuator unit connected with the optical lens and having two areas that are bending-deformed in opposite directions to each other when a voltage is applied thereto, and a supporting unit to support the actuator unit, so that a focus of the optical lens is varied by the bending deformation when the voltage is applied to the actuator unit. Thereby, a driving displacement of the varifocal optical lens can be maximized.

A liquid optical lens which changes a focus due to a change in a shape of a translucent elastic membrane according to a change in a fluid pressure of a lens chamber and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The liquid optical lens forms a dampproof coating membrane on the translucent elastic membrane to prevent a fluid from permeating through the translucent elastic membrane and a swelling phenomenon of the translucent elastic membrane.

A print control device and a print processing method using the same. The print control device transmits a document to be printed after converting the document into a data format capable of being recognized by a printing device, in which the document is composed in an application program section. The print control device includes a printer driver section to produce and present a user-defined print option menu according to one or more print options previously set among plural print option information items provided by the printing device upon receiving a printing command signal for the document to be printed, and a display section to display the user-defined print option menu produced by the printer driver section. In the print control device, only the print options selected by the user are presented instead of plural print options provided by the printing device at the time of setting the print options to be applied to the document to be printed, which is composed in an application program section. Therefore, it is convenient for a user to set the print options.
