摘要: An emergency call service system in an Internet Protocol (IP) network and a method thereof are provided. The system includes a policy control server, an emergency call agent, a call agent, and a network manager. The policy control server generates position information of a user terminal by mapping an IP address and local information to an identification (ID) of the user terminal. The emergency call agent detects a suitable emergency center for the user terminal sending an emergency call, and makes an emergency-call connection between the user terminal and the emergency center. The call agent relays the emergency call of the user terminal to the emergency call agent. The network manager stores position information of the user terminal generated through the policy control server, provides the emergency call agent with the position information of the user terminal sending the emergency call, and performs a resource reservation for the emergency-call connection.

摘要: Provided is a method and apparatus for guaranteeing QoS using end-to-end CAC in an Internet service network. The method includes the steps of: (a) performing a subscriber domain CAC by querying a subscriber DB to determine whether to admit a call based on available bandwidth information of a subscriber when a subscriber terminal requests resource reservation; (b) performing a network domain CAC by querying a resource DB based on a result of the subscriber domain CAC to determine whether a resource required for service can be reserved or not; and (c) updating reserved bandwidth information and available bandwidth information of a subscriber domain in the subscriber DB and resource use information of a network domain in the resource DB when the resource reservation is completed through the steps (a) and (b).

摘要: A multicasting method and apparatus in a network including a transport multiprotocol label switch (T-MPLS) network and a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) network are disclosed. At least one of first switches, connected to the T-MPLS network, second switches connected to the WDM network, and a switch hub establishes a multicasting path by using a label switch path (LSP) ID and a label switch router (LSR) ID, in which the first switch on the multicasting path multicasts a T-MPLS signal, the switch hub converts the T-MPLS signal into an optical multicasting signal and multicasts the converted optical multicasting signal, and the second switch receives the optical multicasting signal and multicasts it in units of the T-MPLS signal.

摘要: A packet scheduling method and apparatus which allows multiple flows that require data transmission to the same output port of a network device such as a router to fairly share bandwidth. The packet scheduling method includes calculating an expected time of arrival of a (k+1)-th packet subsequent to a currently input k-th packet of individual flows by use of bandwidth allocated fairly to each of the flows and a length of the k-th packet; in response to the arrival of the (k+1)-th packet, comparing the expected time of arrival of the (k+1)-th packet to an actual time of arrival of the (k+1)-th packet; and scheduling the (k+1)-th packet of each flow according to the comparison result.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a Tandem Connection Monitoring (TCM) method in an MPLS network and a data structure of a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) OAM packet for TCM. When data are provided to users through an LSP path comprising multiple network provider in an MPLS network, the method makes it possible to independently measure LSP performance at a user level, a service provider level, and a network provider level, detect quality degradation of ingress signals by measuring performance of a preceding network, and newly measure the performance quality at the current network regardless of the performance quality of the preceding network.

摘要: Performance values between an access point (AP) and one or more networks to which the AP is connected are measured, and performance information is generated based on the measured performance values. When a request for the performance information is received from a terminal connected to the AP, the performance information is broadcast to the terminal at a pre-set time to allow the terminal to select an optimum AP based on the received performance information and attempt to access a wireless network.
