Abstract: In implementations for free form radius editing, a computing device implements a radius editing system, such as may be integrated with an image editing application. The radius editing system can determine the edge segments for outlines of image objects depicted in a digital image, where the edge segments include corner segments of the image objects. The radius editing system can also determine the radius values of the corner segments of the image objects, and the radius values of the corner segments are maintained in a cache as part of object data corresponding to the image objects depicted in the digital image. The radius editing system can also identify one or more similar corner segments of the image objects that have an equivalent radius value as a selected corner segment responsive to an editing input of a radius of the selected corner segment of an image object.

Abstract: In implementations of systems for generating candidate mirror snap points using determined axes of symmetry, a computing device implements a symmetry system to receive vector object data describing a set of points of a vector object. The symmetry system generates convex polygons that enclose the set of points and identifies a particular convex polygon that has a smallest area. A side of the particular convex polygon is determined as an axis of symmetry for the vector object. The symmetry system generates an indication for display in a user interface of a candidate snap point based on the axis of symmetry and a point of the set of points of the vector object.

Abstract: In implementations of systems for simultaneously modifying multiple variable fonts, a computing device implements a modification system to identify a first range of values of a glyph attribute that are adjustable by changing values of a particular design axis of a first variable font that is common to the first variable font and a second variable font. The modification system identifies a second range of values of the glyph attribute that are adjustable by changing values of the particular design axis of the second variable font. An overlapping range of values of the glyph attribute is determined between the first range of values and the second range of values. The modification system generates an additional instance of the first variable font and an additional instance of the second variable font for display in a user interface based on the overlapping range of values of the glyph attribute.

Abstract: Techniques described herein take character glyphs as input and generate a text-on-a-path text object that includes the character glyphs arranged in a determined order along a path. For instance, a method described herein includes accessing character glyphs in input data. The method further includes determining an order for the character glyphs based on relative positions and orientations of the character glyphs in the input data. The method further includes generating a path for the character glyphs, based on the order, and associating the path with the character glyphs. Further, the method includes generating a text object that includes the set of character glyphs arranged in the order along the path.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that merge separate digital point text objects into a single merged digital text object while preserving the properties and original visual appearance associated with the digital text included therein. For example, the disclosed systems can determine point text character properties associated with the separate digital point text objects (e.g., rotations, baseline shifts, etc.). The disclosed systems can merge the separate digital point text objects into a single merged digital point text object and modify associated font character properties to reflect the determined point text character properties. Further, the disclosed systems can generate an area text object based on the merged digital point text object where the area text object includes the digital text and the font character properties.

Abstract: Techniques are described for identifying a plurality of objects associated with a clipping mask and available for display in a user interface of a digital media editor, identifying, for each of the plurality of objects, a bounding box surrounding a respective object in the plurality of objects, each bounding box defining a plurality of anchor points configured to generate alignment guides for the respective object. The techniques may also includes determining, for each object, visible portions that are within a boundary defined by the clipping mask, determining a plurality of locations in which at least one bounding box intersects with the clipping mask within the visible portions, and triggering, in the user interface, modification of the at least one bounding box in at least one of the plurality of locations to reduce the at least one bounding box to terminate on at least one of the plurality of locations.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that position objects across multiple perspectives within digital images to be equidistant. For instance, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems detect a user interaction for moving a first object within a first perspective of a digital image. Additionally, the disclosed systems extract a first distance between the first object within the first perspective and a joining edge between the first perspective and a second perspective of the digital image. The disclosed systems also extract a second distance between a second object within the second perspective of the digital image and the joining edge. Based on the first distance and the second distance, the disclosed systems modify the digital image by positioning the first object within the first perspective to be equidistant to the joining edge relative to the second object within the second perspective.

Abstract: A system of present disclosure, in one or more embodiments, receives selections of first and second points for a path. The first point is at a first position and the second point is at a second position in a digital design document. The system identifies a glyph of text nearest a location of the first position and determines a geometry of the glyph. The system determines a first parametric value of the geometry of the glyph nearest to the first position and determines a second parametric value of the geometry of the glyph nearest to the second position. The system generates the path between the first position and the second position that follows the geometry of the glyph at a consistent offset relative to the glyph by utilizing the first parametric value and the second parametric value to generate path geometry that follows the geometry of the glyph.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable storage media are disclosed for modifying paths in digital vector images according to similar path geometries in the digital vector images. The disclosed system generates a path cache comprising path information for a plurality of connected path sets within a digital image. The disclosed system also determines, from the plurality of connected path sets, one or more candidate path sets including path information in the path cache within a threshold error of path information of a selected connected path set including an anchor point in the digital image. The disclosed system modifies, utilizing the path cache, the path information of the selected connected path set utilizing path information of a candidate path set of the one or more candidate path sets.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media that align objects of a digital image across different perspectives portrayed therein. For instance, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems detect one or more user interactions for moving a first object within a first perspective of a digital image. Additionally, the disclosed systems determine a modified alignment of the first object within the first perspective by mapping an alignment of a second object portrayed within a second perspective of the digital image to the first perspective. The disclosed systems further modify the digital image by positioning the first object within the first perspective in accordance with the modified alignment.
