Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining compressed sounding reference signal (SRS) information associated with a user end device from a distributed unit device. The distributed unit device compresses SRS information utilizing a first compression algorithm resulting in the compressed SRS information. Further embodiments include decompressing the compressed SRS information utilizing a first decompression algorithm resulting in the SRS information and determining SRS channel estimation based on the SRS information. Additional embodiments include determining a group of beamforming weights based on the SRS channel estimation, and adjusting an antenna array according to the group of beamforming weights. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a received channel-encoded data block having information bits, a transmitted error-check value, and redundant code bits. The redundant code bits correspond to a channel code applied to the received channel-encoded data block prior to transmission via a communication channel. A channel code type is identified and responsive to it being systematic, the information bits and the transmitted error-check value are obtained without decoding according to the channel code. The received channel-encoded data block is checked according to the transmitted error-check value to obtain a result. Responsive to the result not indicating an error, extracting the information bits without decoding the received channel-encoded data block according to the channel code. Responsive to the result indicating an error, decoding the received channel-encoded data block according to the channel code to obtain decoded information bits. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Discontinuous access to unlicensed spectrum is facilitated in a new radio access environment. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise performing a scanning procedure that determines whether a first subband and a second subband is available for transmission. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first subband and the second subband are adjacent, wherein a first channel formed at the first subband comprising a first guard band and a second channel formed at the second subband comprising a second guard band that is adjacent to the first guard band. The system can further facilitate in response to determining that the first subband and the second subband are adjacent and available for transmission, eliminating the first guard band and the second guard band.

Abstract: Disaggregated wireless radio access networks can utilize a lower physical split architecture with open fronthaul between the radio unit and distributed baseband units. A split architecture is one in which the analogue radio front-end and the digital baseband processor in a radio are not co-located. Instead, these components are connected via a fronthaul transport network. Therefore, the baseband unit can transmit two beamforming matrices for every contiguous resource block occupied by a user. The radio unit can then interpolate between these two beamforming matrices for each of the RE inside of the resource block based on the baseband unit and the radio unit agreeing upon a method of interpolation to generate beamforming matrices per resource element.
