摘要: Accordingly, a method and apparatus are provided that use implicit de-assignment, instead of explicit deassignment, of resources, such that a mobile terminal can interpret the assignment of the resources to other channel terminals as an implied deassignment of the resources. Thus, reducing the number of assignment or the assignment between the base station and the terminals.

摘要: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for controlling a delay probability distribution associated with receiving a response to a page. The method entails performing a series of page operations, wherein each page operation entails transmitting a page and scanning for a page response. The method further entails adjusting at least one timing parameter associated with performing the series of page operations based on a characteristic of one or more scans for the page performed by the at least one remote device. The characteristic may be the period of periodic page scans performed by the at least one remote device.

摘要: For restrictive reuse, each cell (or each sector) is assigned (1) a set of usable subbands that may be allocated to users in the cell and (2) a set of forbidden subbands that is not used. The usable and forbidden sets for each cell are orthogonal to one other. The usable set for each cell also overlaps the forbidden set for each neighboring cell. A user u in a cell x may be allocated subbands in the usable set for that cell. If user u observes/causes high level of interference from/to a neighboring cell y, then user u may be allocated subbands from a “restricted” set containing subbands included in both the usable set for cell x and the forbidden set for cell y. User u would then observe/cause no interference from/to cell y. The subband restriction may be extended to avoid interference from multiple neighboring cells.

摘要: A method, system and devices for enabling secure pairing between two communication devices equipped with a minimal user interface includes determining a verification pattern based upon security information exchanged between the two communication devices and presenting the verification pattern in a manner that can be perceived by a user who can determine whether the verification patterns are the same. The verification patterns may be presented as flashing light displays, such as flashing sequences of a light emitting diode, or as sounds, such as tones or click patterns emitted by a speaker. If a user perceives that the verification patterns emitted by both communication devices are the same, the user may so indicate by pressing a button on each of the devices. Obtaining such user confirmation of the verification patterns enables establishing a secure pairing between the two communication devices that is protected from active and passive eavesdropping.

摘要: Aspects describe controlling a power level for an access terminal in a wireless communication system that utilizes multiple modulation waveforms. The power can be controlled after an Access Grant is received in response to an Access Probe until the mobile device transitions into a steady state. A reference power can be continuously monitored and a setting of a power amplifier can be modified only when the reference power changes. A digital gain of a reverse data channel can be adjusted relative to the reference power level.

摘要: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate dynamically scheduling orthogonal resource sets for reuse by user devices to reduce inter-cell interference by evaluating an overall scheduling metric for each user device in a wireless communication region. The overall scheduling metric can be evaluated by determining a fairness metric for each user device in a wireless communication region, an overall channel peak desirability metric for each user device, and a channel delay desirability metric for each user device. The overall scheduling metric can be the function of the fairness metric and one or more of the overall channel peak desirability metric and the channel delay desirability metric. A user device with a highest overall scheduling metric score for a given round of dynamic scheduling can be awarded an orthogonal resource set.

摘要: To transmit signaling, a base station obtains signaling for a group of channels used for data transmission and selected from a set of channels having constraints on usage. The base station compresses the signaling based on the channel constraints and obtains at least one message. If multiple messages are to be sent, then the assigned channels are partitioned into multiple subgroups, and the signaling for the channels in each subgroup is compressed to obtain a message for that subgroup. Each message is encoded at a spectral efficiency and transmitted at a power level selected for the message. A Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) value is appended to the message(s) for error detection. To receive the signaling, a terminal checks a received message with the appended CRC, decodes the message if the CRC passes, decompresses the decoded message based on the channel constraints, and extracts the signaling for an assigned channel.
