摘要: In one aspect of the invention, a tool has a working portion with at least one impact tip brazed to a carbide extension. The carbide extension has a cavity formed in a base end and is adapted to interlock with a shank assembly of the cutting element assembly. The shank assembly has a locking mechanism adapted to interlock a first end of the shank assembly within the cavity. The locking mechanism has a radially extending catch formed in the first end of the shank assembly. The shank assembly has an outer surface at a second end of the shank assembly adapted to be press-fitted within a recess of a driving mechanism. The outer surface of the shank assembly has a coefficient of thermal expansion of 110 percent or more than a coefficient of thermal expansion of a material of the driving mechanism.

The impact tip comprises a superhard material opposite the core, and the core comprises a second end and a largest diameter. A distance through the body from the shank to the second end of the core is less than the largest diameter of the core.

摘要: A formation breaking apparatus with increased wear-resistance is disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, the apparatus has an assembly attached to an end of an articulated arm. The assembly has an actuator in mechanical communication with an axially guided penetrator. The penetrator may have a body intermediate a proximate end and a distal end; the proximate end being adapted to communicate with the actuator, and the distal end comprising a hard material with a hardness of at least 63 HRc.

摘要: A high impact resistant pick in a holder having a super hard material bonded to a cemented metal carbide substrate at a non-planar interface. The cemented metal carbide substrate is bonded to a front end of a cemented metal carbide bolster. A bore is formed in a base end of the carbide bolster generally opposed to the front end. A steel shank being fitted into the bore of the bolster at a bolster end of the shank, and a portion of the shank is disposed within a bore of the holder at a holder end of the shank.

The wear-resistant base has a shank and a metal segment. A cemented metal carbide segment is bonded to the metal segment and the shank has a wear-resistant surface. The wear-resistant surface has a hardness greater than 60 HRc.

摘要: A composite heat spreader is disclosed in one embodiment of the invention as including an input interface to conduct heat from a heat source, such as an integrated circuit, and an output interface to transfer heat to a heat sink. A support material having a first thickness is provided between the input interface and the output interface. One or more diamond monocrystals are embedded in the support material and have a second thickness which is at least 20% of the first thickness. In some embodiments, the diamond monocrystals extend from the input interface to the output interface. These one or more diamond monocrystals may be either rough or finished diamonds.

摘要: The present invention includes a piston valve for charging and discharging a first fluid chamber. The piston valve includes a piston shaft and a ring comprising a seal element. The piston shaft has a first end and a second end with the first end including a counter bore having at least one vent. The ring is disposed within a cylinder and the seal element is disposed intermediate the piston shaft and the ring. The piston valve may be used for intensification purposes such as in a high pressure high temperature hydraulic cartridge.
