摘要: Compounds having two reactive functional groups are described that can be used to provide a connector group between a substrate and an amine-containing material. The first reactive functional group can be used to provide attachment to a surface of a substrate. The second reactive functional group is a N-sulfonylaminocarbonyl group that can be reacted with an amine-containing material, particularly a primary aliphatic amine, to form a carbonylimino-containing connector group. The invention also provides articles and methods for immobilizing amine-containing materials to a substrate.

摘要: Single port characterization of RF amplifier phase and amplitude transfer functions are developed by measuring the output of the amplifier as it is excited by a predetermined frequency over a series of bias steps. One bias step is chosen as a reference level. Amplitude characterization is obtained from measured magnitude at each step in the test sequence. Phase information is extracted from the same measurements by measuring phase and phase trajectory at a reference level, and subtracting measured phase information at a desired step in the test sequence from an estimation of the reference phase trajectory at that step. Reference measurements may be interspersed with other measurements.

摘要: In one embodiment, a system comprises a signal source for generating a digital signal in response to a data pull signal; a digital-to-analog converter (DAC); a first plurality of shift registers for registering digital words of the digital signal before receipt by the DAC; a synchronizing logic element for generating the data pull signal, wherein the synchronizing logic element initially generates the data pull signal to cause the signal source to generate a number of data words, ceases communication of the data pull signal upon receipt of a mark signal, and resumes communication of the data pull signal upon receipt of a trigger signal; and a second plurality of shift registers for registering the mark signal before communication to the synchronizing logic element, wherein the first and second plurality of shift registers are enabled by the data pull signal.

The composition, with the addition of a light absorbing pigment, is particularly useful as a light absorbing adhesive in an optical element such as a rear projection screen that incorporates totally internally reflecting structures to disperse the light passing through the screen.

摘要: Time domain data in a measurement signal and in a reference signal are converted to frequency domain data. The reference signal and the measurement signal are then multiplied and the resulting product data converted to delay domain data. During the correlation process, the frequency of one of the signals, such as the reference signal, is varied. The frequency of the reference signal may be adjusted a predetermined number of times, and each of the resulting correlated signals examined. The frequency that produces the strongest correlation is selected. Alternatively, the frequency of the reference signal may be adjusted until a correlation value for the correlated signal matches or exceeds a threshold value. The frequency that first results in a correlation value that matches or exceeds the threshold value is selected. The frequency of a signal may be adjusted in integer and fractional amounts.

摘要: A temporary decal comprising a porous paper base coated with a water-soluble slip layer (e.g., dextrin gum) on which offset printing inks are directly imprinted using a high speed lithographic press. The inks are printed in a designated area only, in a desired image. A clear spot coating, preferably of an aqueous material, is then printed over the image area only. A contact adhesive is then spot printed over the image area of each decal, preferably using a silk screen press. A removable cover sheet, such as a silicone-coated sheet, is placed over the contact adhesive of each printed sheet of decals to keep the sheets from sticking together. The spot coating acts as a protective layer that keeps the contact adhesive from migrating to the surface of the decal after the finished temporary tattoo is applied to the skin. Without the spot coating, the surface of the decal would become sticky to the touch and the decal would come off faster because of friction with the surrounding environment.

摘要: Communication across domains is described. In at least one implementation, a determination is made that an amount of data to be communicated via an Iframe exceeds a threshold amount. The data is divided into a plurality of portions that do not exceed the threshold amount. A plurality of messages is formed to communicate the divided data across domains.
