摘要: A thin metal wire 8 is fused and vaporized by a predetermined amount of electrical energy supplied to the thin metal wire 8 for a short period of time, whereby a blasting substance 3 is expanded in volume. Therefore, a vaporization expansion force caused by the fusion and vaporization of the thin metal wire 8 moves a shock delivering member 22, so that the shock delivering member 22, colliding with a to-be-blasted object H1, delivers a shock to the to-be-blasted object H1, thereby blasting the to-be-blasted object H1.

摘要: A discharge breaking system and a discharge breaking method for breakage and decomposition of objects to be ruptured such as destruction of base rocks and breakage of stones into small pieces at building lands, breakage for finishing tunnels and destruction of concrete buildings. A discharge breaking system is configured to supply or discharge electric energy charged or accumulated in a capacitor between a pair of electrodes in a short time for abrupt vaporization of a breaking substance for transmitting a pressure, thereby breaking an object to be ruptured with an expansion force generated by the vaporization. The discharge breaking systems has a structure wherein an end portion of a sheath member which covers a pair of metal cores for composing a cable is cut off to expose ends of the metal cores, and the exposed ends of the metal cores are submerged in the breaking substance and used as electrodes. The cable can be a coaxial cable having an inner core and an outer core, the cable being cut off to expose an end of the inner cable having one or more notches to cause the exposed end of the inner core to function as the foregoing thin metal wire. This discharge breaking system requires no adjustment of a distance between the electrodes and can easily be manufactured.

摘要: A grommet is provided for positively and easily mounting a longitudinally shaped member (e.g. a wire harness) in such a manner that the member is passed through a mounting plate such as a panel of a vehicle body. The grommet includes a second cylindrical portion connected through a connection portion to a first cylindrical portion for passing a wire harness therethrough. A groove, formed in an outer peripheral surface of the second cylindrical portion, and flange portions, formed between the groove and the connection portion, maintain the angle of projection of the flange portions with respect to the second cylindrical portion. The second cylindrical portion is turned inside out, so that the flange portions, deformed into a generally tapering, cylindrical shape, are passed through a mounting hole, and then the second cylindrical portion is restored into its initial shape, so that the grommet is located on the panel in a predetermined position.

摘要: The invention relates to a reflectance reducing silicon dioxide film formed on a glass substrate by the sol-gel process. To make the film minutely rough, at least two sols are respectively prepared from at least one compound selected from the group consisting of silicon alkoxides and silicon acetylacetonates, such that polymers of the sols have different average molecular weights. Then, the at least two sols are mixed with a solvent so as to prepare a coating solution. The coating solution is applied to the glass substrate so as to form a sol film on the glass substrate. The thus coated glass substrate is heated so as to transform the sol film into a gel film. The gel film which is minutely rough is satisfactory in reflectance reduction.

摘要: A system for controlling the operation of a numerically controlled machine tool used for cutting threads on workpieces, in which means are provided so that the quality of the products may not be adversely affected even when the thread cutting operation is interrupted for some reasons incidental to the thread cutting. The control system comprises a thread cutting interruption control circuit consisting of an adder-subtractor automatically carrying out addition or subtraction of the output of a thread pitch memory to and from a pair of outputs of a function generator variable depending on the position of the tool along a predetermined path, a temporary memory storing the information of a thread cutting command position read by a tape reader and stored in a first memory, and a thread cutting command position changing circuit applying the output of the adder-subtractor to the first memory in response to the application of an interruption instruction signal during the thread cutting operation thereby replacing the information of the thread cutting command position previously stored in the first memory by the output of the adder-subtractor, and, on the other hand, applying the output of the temporary memory to the first memory in response to the application of a restarting instruction signal thereby restarting the thread cutting cycle again after elimination of the cause requiring the interruption.
