Abstract: An apparatus includes a communications interface, a non-transitory memory storage including non-transitory computer-executable instructions, and one or more processors in communication with the communications interface and the non-transitory memory storage. The one or more processors are configured to execute the non-transitory computer-executable instructions to cause the apparatus to perform operations including performing sidelink communication in a first carrier bandwidth part (BWP) in a first time unit. A first frame structure numerology is useable for the sidelink communication in the first time unit. The first frame structure numerology is the same as a frame structure numerology of a common BWP. The first BWP is the common BWP or a first dedicated BWP. A frame structure numerology of the first dedicated BWP is the same as the frame structure numerology of the common BWP. Bandwidth of the first dedicated BWP includes bandwidth of the common BWP.

Abstract: A communications method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: receiving first configuration information, where the first configuration information is used to configure a first bandwidth part (BWP); and sending sidelink data on a resource included in a first transmission resource pool, where a frequency range of the first transmission resource pool is included in a frequency range of the first BWP and a frequency range of a second BWP, and the second BWP is an activated uplink BWP. The communications method and apparatus in this application can implement terminal device communication on the first BWP and the second BWP, and reduce a time of switching between the first BWP and the second BWP, thereby improving efficiency of the communication on the first BWP and the second BWP.

Abstract: A signal transmission method and an apparatus are provided. In embodiments of this application, the one or more to-be-activated BWPs is configured, where the to-be-activated BWP is a state configured by a network device for the terminal device. In addition to the first BWP in an active state, the second BWP in a to-be-activated state further exists at the same moment.

According to the foregoing method, the terminal device may communicate, based on the received first information, with the network device on the second frequency domain resource when the status of the terminal device is the first state.

An operating band of the terminal includes the first frequency band, the bandwidth capability information of the first frequency band indicates a bandwidth capability of the terminal in the first frequency band, the bandwidth capability in the first frequency band is not less than a first threshold, and the first threshold is determined based on a maximum bandwidth capability of the terminal, the first frequency band, or a subcarrier spacing of the first frequency band. The terminal can send or receive a signal on a resource allocated by the radio access network node based on the bandwidth capability information.
