    摘要: An apparatus and method provide measurement of a constituent of a fluid, such as ozone in ozonated water. The apparatus includes a vessel to contain the fluid, a light source configured to direct a first band of light and a second band of light along a substantially shared path though the fluid, and a photosensor that senses the first band of light and the second band of light. The constituent has a greater absorption associated with the first band of light than with the second band of light. The method includes modification of a measured attribute of the component in response to the sensed second band of light to improve the accuracy of the measured attribute.

The present invention also provides a computer-readable medium for storing instructions that, when executed on a processor, cause the processor to transmit data packets from a mobile terminal to a base station using a hybrid automatic repeat request protocol and soft combining of received data. In order to restrict the interference caused by retransmissions, the present invention suggests controlling the amount of information in the retransmissions and thus the transmission power required for their transmission by TFCS restriction.

To enable the C-RNC within a mobile communication system to perform congestion control for uplink transmissions having a guaranteed bit-rate the invention suggests to provide the C-RNC with a bit-rate being provided to scheduled data of the guaranteed bit-rate priority class using common or dedicated measurement procedures. This provided bit-rate is evaluated and taken as a basis for deciding on whether congestion control for data of the priority class needs to be performed.

Only if resources equivalent to the maximum serving grant are utilized, the transmission buffer status requires to and the power status of the terminal allows for the happy bit is set to indicate a unhappy condition.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and mobile terminal for transmitting data on uplink within a mobile communication system. Further the invention relates to a network entity for allocating uplink resources to such a mobile terminal. When a user equipment is transmitting uplink (UL) data according to allocated resources, it has to indicate the transport format of the current data transmission to Node B by means of UL control signaling. To propose a scheduling scheme which reduces the overhead of uplink control signaling, a method is proposed that achieves a significant reduction of the UL control signaling overhead by considering characteristics of an orthogonal radio access scheme used for evolved UTRA uplink scheme and using differential signaling of the transport format information. Although the invention is particularly suitable for uplink transmissions in an orthogonal single-carrier radio access scheme, it is not restricted to this particular embodiment.

    摘要: Mobile stations, base stations, radio network controllers and communication systems perform according to the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) protocol for transmitting data packets from a transmitting entity to a receiving entity via a data channel. A HARQ method sending synchronous retransmissions involves a feedback message received from the receiving entity at the transmitting entity and, in case the feedback message indicates that the data packet has not been received successfully, a retransmission data packet is transmitted to the receiving entity after a predetermined time span upon having received the feedback message. The receiving entity soft combines the retransmission data packet with the previously received data packet.
