摘要： A liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates, a liquid crystal layer disposed therebetween, pixel regions formed by gate signal lines and image signal lines formed over the first substrate, a first insulating layer formed over the gate signal lines, thin film transistors connected to the gate signal lines with in a second insulating layer formed thereover, pixel electrodes connected to the thin film transistors, a counter electrode formed of a first transparent conductive layer over the second insulating layer, and a second transparent conductive layer and an external connection terminal disposed outside of the pixel regions. The second transparent conductive layer is formed over the second insulating layer and is electrically connected to the counter electrode and the external connection terminal, and a part of each of the gate signal lines is disposed outside of the pixel regions and is covered by the second transparent conductive layer.

摘要： A liquid crystal display includes a first substrate and a second substrate with a liquid crystal layer therebetween, the first substrate having a plurality of drain signal lines and a plurality of gate signal lines, and a plurality of pixel regions defined by the drain signal lines and the gate signal lines. The pixel regions include a first electrode having a plurality of linear shapes, a second electrode having a planer shape, the second electrode being overlapped with the first electrode through an insulation film, and a thin film transistor having a video signal supplied thereto from the drain signal line. The first electrode is connected with the thin film transistor so that an electric potential of the video signal is supplied thereto, and a standard electric potential is supplied to the second electrode. A third electrode is arranged between the drain signal line and the liquid crystal layer.

摘要： A liquid crystal display includes a pair of transparent substrates opposed to each other with liquid crystal therebetween, and one of the substrates has a plurality of drain signal lines, gate signal lines, and pixel regions defined by the drain signal lines and the gate signal lines. The pixel regions include a TFT element, a first electrode formed of a transparent electrode, a second electrode formed of a transparent electrode. The second electrode is disposed between the first electrode and the one of the substrates, the second electrode is overlapped with the first electrode in the pixel region, is overlapped with the gate signal line, and is connected with the second electrode of an adjacent pixel region. A metal line is arranged for a plurality of the pixel regions, is overlapped with the second electrode, and is connected to the second electrode electrically.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device having first and second substrates with a liquid crystal layer therebetween, a plurality of gate signal lines and a plurality of drain signal lines, a plurality of counter voltage signal lines, a plurality of pixel regions defined by neighboring gate signal lines and drain signal lines, a counter electrode and a pixel electrode enabling formation of an electric field, and an orientation film being formed on the first substrate. The pixel electrode has a plurality of slits overlaps the counter electrode with an insulating layer therebetween. A pair of edges of the counter electrode and pixel electrode extend in parallel to the gate signal line and another pair of edges of the counter electrode and the pixel electrode extend in parallel to the drain line.

The pixel electrode and the counter voltage signal lines have an overlapping region, and an edge of the pixel electrode which extends in parallel to the drain signal line shifts to inside of the pixel region at the overlapping region as compared to the edge of the pixel electrode at a non-overlapping region.

The counter electrode is of planar shape and, the pixel electrode is of planar shape with plurality of slits and is overlapped with the counter electrode with an insulating layer provided therebetween. Both the counter electrode and pixel electrode are made of a transparent conductor. The counter voltage signal line is made of metal and extends in center region in each pixel region and is directly connected to the counter electrode.

摘要： An active matrix liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first and second substrates, and plural image signal lines and scan signal lines formed on the first substrate. Respective pixel regions are formed by adjacent image signal lines and adjacent scan signal lines and have at least an active device, with a first electrode and a second electrode being provided in each pixel region. The first electrode is connected to the active device of one pixel region, and the second electrode of one pixel region is connected to the second electrode of an other pixel region which adjoins the one pixel region in the extended direction of the image signal line. The second electrode is connected for at least three adjacent pixel regions in the extended direction of the image signal line.
