摘要： A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. A first sub-frame and a second sub-frame corresponding to the image data are generated. The first and the second sub-frames are generated based on minimization of an error between the image data and a simulated image. The method includes alternating between displaying the first sub-frame in a first position and displaying the second sub-frame in a second position spatially offset from the first position.

摘要： An instrument for attaching a graft to an aorta includes a first needle assembly for breaching the aorta to provide a hole in a wall thereof, and a carrier portion for insertion of an end of a tubular graft through the hole and into the aorta. Arms are pivotally mounted on the instrument and are moveable from a position extending axially of the carrier to a position extending radially from the carrier to spread the end of the graft radially outwardly from a tubular portion of the graft to form an annular flange extending outwardly from the tubular portion, and to support the flange within the aorta and around the hole therein. A second needle assembly retains the suture material and advances the suture material into engagement with the aorta wall and the graft flange for suturing the graft flange to the aorta wall.

摘要： An endoscopic insertion device for inserting an anastomosis ring having two unitary members in an anatomic tubular body member comprises an anastomosis ring adapter for mounting the unitary members in an engaging position, an inserter for inserting the ring adapter in the tubular body member, and an actuator for actuating the adapter to close the anastomosis ring. A method of using the endoscopic insertion device includes the steps of inserting the anastomosis ring in an engaged position into the tubular body member, securing opposite ends of the tubular body member to the engaged anastomosis ring, applying a biasing force to close the anastomosis ring, releasing the biasing force, and axially withdrawing the insertion device from the closed anastomosis ring.

摘要： A purse string suturing instrument is provided for quickly and effectively forming a purse string suture in tubular tissue through relatively small cannulas placed in the body. The instrument includes a pair of elongated jaws, each having a row of spaced-apart uniform-size teeth. The jaws are hinged together at one end to clamp the tubular tissue therebetween. The two rows of teeth are offset with respect to each other so that they mesh when the jaws are closed. A single operating mechanism is provided to articulate the pair of jaws with respect to a longitudinal axis of the suturing instrument and actuate the jaws between an open position and a clamping position. The jaws are inserted through a cannula and positioned to close around the tissue to be sutured. The rows of teeth bend the tissue therebetween into a wavelike configuration. A pair of needles, the ends of each being connected to a single length of suture, is then inserted through passageways provided through the teeth. An encircling series of stitches are thus formed in the wall of the tubular tissue to create a purse string suture. The needles and the suturing instrument are then withdrawn through the cannula. The tubular tissue can be snugly fitted over an anastomosis ring or the like by drawing and tying the purse string suture.

摘要： A field programmable gate array integrated circuit which has numerous features for testing prior to programming the antifuses in the integrated circuit is provided. The circuits used to program the antifuses are also used for much of the preprogramming testing. The functionality of continuous series transistors and latch logic blocks may be tested together with the continuity of their programmable connections. Programmable input/output buffer circuits and clock circuits which set the desired clock network paths may be tested with signals on a serial scan path which passes through the input/output buffer circuits and clock circuits. Process characterization tests without the requirement of high-speed test equipment are also provided.
