    Abstract: An optically-enhanced relay including a first transmitter that converts a first digital transmit signal to a first analog transmit signal, a first receiver that converts a first analog receive signal to a first digital receive signal, a second transmitter that converts a second digital transmit signal to a second analog transmit signal, a second receiver that converts a second analog receive signal to a second digital receive signal, and an optically-enhanced analog self-interference canceller that generates a first self-interference cancellation signal based on at least one of the first digital transmit signal and the first analog transmit signal, and combines the first self-interference cancellation signal with at least one of the first digital receive signal and the first analog receive signal.

    Abstract: A method for adaptively-tuned digital self-interference cancellation comprises receiving a digital transmit signal; receiving a transform configuration; generating a set of signal components from the digital transmit signal; transforming the set of signal components into a digital self-interference cancellation signal according to the transform configuration; combining the digital self-interference cancellation signal with a receive signal to form a digital residue signal; detecting a trigger; in response to detecting the trigger: computing a ratio of the digital residue signal to the digital transmit signal; converting the ratio to the frequency-domain to form a frequency-domain-converted ratio; computing a frequency-domain self-interference channel between the transmitter and the receiver based on the frequency-domain-converted ratio; computing an inverse discrete Fourier transform matrix based on a portion of the discrete Fourier transform matrix; converting the frequency-domain self-interference channel to form a time-domain self-interference channel; and updating the transform configuration based on the time-domain self-interference channel.

    Abstract: A circuit that cancels a self-interference signal includes, in part, a pair of signal paths that are substantially in phase, each of which paths includes a passive coupler, a delay element and a variable attenuator. The circuit further includes, in part, a first group of P signal paths each of which is substantially in phase with the pair of paths, a second group of M signal paths each of which is substantially out-of-phase relative to the pair of signal paths, and at least a pair of feedback paths. Each of the P and M signal paths, as well as the feedback paths includes a delay element and a variable attenuator. Optionally, each of the M signal paths is optionally 180° out-of-phase relative to the pair of signal paths.
