    摘要: An illumination system capable of realizing a color image without a color wheel, and a projection system employing the illumination system. The illumination system includes first, second, and third light emitting devices and first and second hologram devices. The first, second, and third light emitting devices emit light beams having different wavelengths. The first and second hologram devices are disposed in an “X” configuration at an angle with respect to the first, second, and third light emitting devices and transmit or reflect incident light depending on the wavelength of the light. The projection system further includes a display device, and a projection lens unit. The display device processes beams incident in one direction via the first and second hologram devices, according to an input image signal, and forms an image. The projection lens unit enlarges and projects the image formed by the display device on a screen. The illumination system and the projection system can realize a wide color gamut. Thus, the illumination system and the projection system can provide a high-density and high-quality image, and can be compact by compressing the cross-sectional area of a beam.

    摘要: Provided are an illumination system capable of eliminating laser speckle and a projection system employing the illumination system. The illumination system includes a laser light source having at least one laser, and a first diffractive optical element to divide a laser beam emitted from the laser light source into a plurality of partial beams and to time-average the partial beams through a periodical movement to eliminate speckle. Accordingly, the illumination system can eliminate speckle of the beams emitted from the laser light source and the projection system employing the illumination system can achieve a high quality image.

The interface system may be constructed with a serializer for receiving a first data and second data having a plurality of bits from an external device and sequentially outputting bits of the received first data and second data; a transmission circuit including a decoder for converting two bits supplied from the serializer into three bits, a driver for controlling a flow of electric currents to correspond to the three bits and a transmission resistor to which a voltage is applied to correspond to the flow of the electric currents; a reception circuit including a reception resistor for receiving a voltage supplied the transmission resistor, amplifiers for amplifying a voltage applied to both ends of the reception resistor, comparators for recovering the three bits and an encoder for recovering the two bits using the three bit by comparing the voltage supplied to the amplifiers; a deserializer for recovering the first data and the second data while sequentially storing the two bits supplied from the reception circuit; and stabilization circuits for controlling the transmission circuit.

    摘要: An illumination system designed to eliminate laser speckle and a single-panel projection system employing the same. The illumination system includes a laser light source to sequentially emit a plurality of laser beams, and a first diffractive optical element that is partitioned into a plurality of segments having diffractive patterns that correspond to the plurality of laser beams to move synchronously with the sequential emission of the plurality of laser beams. The laser speckle is removed by moving the first diffractive optical element in such a manner as to temporally average the plurality of laser beams. The illumination system efficiently removes the laser speckle, and the projection system having the illumination system provides improved image quality.

The color filter unit includes a first color selection polarization conversion element, which converts a polarization direction of a beam in a specific color band of an incident light, and a color filter, which separates light passed through the first color selection polarization conversion element according to color, so that color mixture in spectral boundaries between color beams is prevented. Because the color mixture occurring when beams into which light emitted from a white light source is separated are combined is prevented, the quality of an image is improved.

    摘要: An illumination system which realizes a color image without a color wheel and a projector adopting the illumination system. The illumination system comprises at least one light emitting device which emits a light beam having a predetermined wavelength and a holographic optical element which reduces a cross section of the light beam. The projector includes the illumination system, a display device which forms an image by processing light from the illumination system according to an input image signal, and a projection lens which magnifies and projects the image onto a screen. The light emitting device may be constructed in an array form and the arrays may be arranged inline and adjacent to an optical path changer or distributed around an optical path changer at predetermined angles. The arrays and holographic optical elements may be provided in layers in order to reduce a size of the illumination system.
