摘要: Optical system includes front group, light-shielding member, and rear group that are arranged in this order in direction from object side toward image side. The light-shielding member is provided with opening elongated in first direction. The front group has aspherical surfaces, does not image the object at the opening in first section parallel to the first direction, and forms intermediate image of the object at the opening in second section perpendicular to the first direction. The rear group has diffractive surface that splits light beam that passes through the opening into light beams at different wavelengths in the second section and focuses the light beams on different locations in the second section. Tilt angles of the aspherical surfaces in the second section change in the first direction.

摘要: An optical modulator includes: a vibrator configured to perform flexural vibration along a first direction; and a diffraction grating disposed in the vibrator and having a plurality of grooves arranged in parallel along the first direction. A frequency of laser light incident on the diffraction grating is shifted. In addition, it is preferable that the vibrator includes a base portion, a first vibration arm, and a second vibration arm disposed side by side along the first direction and coupled to the base portion, the first vibration arm and the second vibration arm perform the flexural vibration along the first direction, and the diffraction grating is disposed on at least one of the first vibration arm and the second vibration arm.

摘要: A method includes transferring multiple discrete components from a first substrate to a second substrate, including illuminating multiple regions on a top surface of a dynamic release layer, the dynamic release layer adhering the multiple discrete components to the first substrate, each of the irradiated regions being aligned with a corresponding one of the discrete components. The illuminating induces a plastic deformation in each of the irradiated regions of the dynamic release layer. The plastic deformation causes at least some of the discrete components to be concurrently released from the first substrate.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are presented for confocal microscopy using dispersed structured illumination. In certain embodiments the apparatus also comprises an optical coherence tomography (OCT) system, and OCT images acquired from two or more regions of a sample are registered using a corresponding set of two or more larger area images acquired with the confocal microscopy system. In preferred embodiments the apparatus is suitable for analysing the retina of an eye. The confocal microscopy system can be operated in a purely intensity mode or in a coherent mode. In other embodiments a confocal microscopy system using dispersed structured illumination is utilised for surface metrology.

摘要: A lidar system includes one or more light sources configured to generate a first beam of light and a second beam of light, a scanner configured to scan the first and second beams of light across a field of regard of the lidar system, and a receiver configured to detect the first beam of light and the second beam of light scattered by one or more remote targets. The scanner includes a rotatable polygon mirror that includes multiple reflective surfaces angularly offset from one another along a periphery of the polygon mirror, the reflective surfaces configured to reflect the first and second beams of light to produce a series of scan lines as the polygon mirror rotates. The scanner also includes a pivotable scan mirror configured to (i) reflect the first and second beams of light and (ii) pivot to distribute the scan lines across the field of regard.

One of the diffractive optical elements provides two coaxial laser beams and another diffractive optical element splits the two coaxial laser beams into a plurality of beamlets. A lens arranged to receive the plurality of the laser beams and to focus them in a skin treatment plane. The lens forms an image where each of the beamlets is imaged as a spot with a high intensity central area and a lower intensity area surrounding the central area.

摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for generating light, comprising a plurality of light sources (1), —a control device (2), which drives the light sources (1), and a superimposition optical unit, which superimposes the light emitted by the light sources (1) in an exit opening (3). It is an object of the invention to provide an apparatus which is improved compared with the prior art. For this purpose, the invention proposes that the superimposition optical unit comprises a first concave mirror (4), in the focal plane of which the light sources (1) are situated, an optical grating (5), onto which the first concave mirror (4) reflects the light (6) emitted by the light sources (1), and —a second concave mirror (7), which reflects the light (8) diffracted at the optical grating (5) onto the exit opening (3) situated at the focus of the second concave mirror (7).
