A call request may be received, and at least two potential call paths over a packet network over which a call associated with the call request may be placed may be determined. Network performance information associated with each node segment on the respective at least two potential call paths may be accessed. A value associated with each potential call path may be determined, where each value may be indicative of communications operations on each potential call path. A call path may be assigned to the call based on the determined values.

The computing system may further be configured to determine whether type and usage parameters associated with the destination wireline device are within a block of address identifiers defined to share communications between wireless and wireline networks. The computing system may further route the SMS message to the destination wireline device in response to determining that the type and usage parameters enable sharing between wireless and wireline networks.

    摘要: A system and method for capturing emergency data messages in a network environment includes receiving, at a first network node, an emergency data message communicated from a wireless communications device. The emergency data message may be accompanied by an origination address and destination address indicative of an emergency network address. A determination may be made at the first network node to determine whether the origination address matches a monitored address established by a law enforcement agency to capture data messages to or from the origination address. If it is determined that the origination address matches the monitored address, then a copy of the emergency data message may be routed to a second network node for collection of the emergency data message and the emergency data message may be routed to the destination address. Otherwise, the emergency data message may be routed to the destination address.
