    摘要: A method for estimating the price of real property such as a single family residence. A set of real estate properties comparable to the subject property is retrieved. The comparable properties and the subject property are characterized by a plurality of common attributes each having a respective value. Each attribute value from the comparable properties are evaluated to the same attribute value of the subject property on a fuzzy preference scale indicating desirable and tolerable deviations from an ideal match with the subject property. A measurement of similarity between each comparable property and the subject property is then determined. Next, the price of the comparable properties are adjusted to the value of the subject property and the best properties are extracted for further consideration. The extracted comparable properties are then aggregated into an estimate price of the subject property.

    摘要: A system and method for providing raw mix proportioning control in a cement plant. A raw mix proportioning controller determines the correct mix and composition of raw materials to be transported to a mixer. The raw mix proportioning controller uses an inverse controller to determine the proper mix and composition of raw materials. The inverse controller takes targeted set points and the chemical composition of the raw material as inputs and generates the proportions of the raw material to be provided as an output for the next time step. The output is generated by using a geometric interpretation of the control process and a non-linear constrained optimization.

    摘要: An automatic train handling controller. In one embodiment, there is disclosed a system and method for tracking a velocity profile in a rail-based transportation system. A fuzzy logic controller is used to ensure that a train simulator complies to the velocity profile over a specified track profile while providing a smooth ride. A safety constraint enforcer is used to minimize sudden slack movements by ensuring that the control action provided by the fuzzy logic controller is kept in compliance with a set of predetermined safety constraints. In a second embodiment, there is an automatic train handling controller that smoothly manages the slack of the couplers while keeping the train within prescribed speed limits over a varying terrain.

    摘要: A diagnostic system is provided for identifying faults in a machine (e.g., CT scanner, MRI system, x-ray apparatus) by analyzing a data file generated thereby. The diagnostic system includes a trained database containing a plurality of trained data, each trained data associated with one of plurality of known fault types. Each trained data is represented by a trained set of feature values and corresponding weight values. Once a data file is generated by the machine, a current set of feature values are extracted from the data file by performing various analyses (e.g., time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, wavelet analysis). The current set of feature values extracted is analyzed by a fault detector which produces a candidate set of faults based on the trained set of feature values and corresponding weight values for each of the fault types. The candidate set of faults produced by the fault detector is presented to a user along with a recommend repair procedure. In cases where no fault is identified or in response to a misdiagnosis produced by the diagnostic system, the user may interactively input a faulty condition associated with the machine being diagnosed (e.g., based on his/her experience). The diagnostic system further includes a learning subsystem which automatically updates the plurality of trained data based on the faulty condition input by the user.

    摘要: A fuzzy logic controller is compiled into values in a look-up table such that the table may be used for adjusting a process dependent upon the state variables. The look-up table may be generated by use of a Mean of Maxima (MOM) technique for defuzzification. Alternately, an approximate Height Method (HM) may be used to provide defuzzification. The MOM and HM techniques allow fuzzy logic control without executing any rules in run-time. A further alternative uses an exact height method and minimizes the number of rules which are executed in run time.
