    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit an uplink data message to a base station while the UE is in an inactive mode with respect to the base station. The UE may transmit the uplink data message in accordance with a communications procedure, which may be an example of a random access channel (RACH)-based communications procedure or a configured grant (CG)-based communications procedure. The UE may generate a report that includes parameters related to transmission of the uplink data message, which may be used to improve subsequent uplink data message transmissions from the UE, subsequent RACH procedures performed by the UE, or both. The UE may determine which parameters to include in the report based on the communications procedure and whether transmission of the uplink data message was successful. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the report to the base station.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, information configuring a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle that includes a DRX active time and a DRX inactive time. The UE may identify, among a set of channels or signals eligible to be transmitted or received during the DRX inactive time, one or more channels or signals associated with a restriction rule based on an indication that is preconfigured or received during the DRX active time. The UE may refrain from transmitting or receiving the one or more channels or signals that are associated with the restriction rule in one or more occasions that occur during the DRX inactive time based at least in part on the restriction rule being enabled for the one or more channels or signals.     Abstract: A user equipment (UE) disconnects from next generation radio access network (NG-RAN) base station (BS) and receives, from the NG-RAN BS, a fallback indication. The UE then attempts to connect to an evolved-universal mobile telecommunications system terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) BS. The UE determines that communication with the E-UTRAN BS was not established and identifies an alternate BS. After establishing communication with the alternate BS, the UE generates and transmits a report to the alternate BS including the fallback indication and information relating to the failed connection attempt with the E-UTRAN BS. The report is then conveyed to the NG-RAN BS for optimization of future fallback procedures.
